Sneak Peek: J.Crew’s New Spring Line!

I’m not quite sure when exactly it happened, but at some point I fell in love with J.Crew. Anything J.Crew. Maybe it’s the genius styling or the pared down yet pretty makeup on the catalog models, or the simple and comparatively well-priced wedding gowns, but I’m all about their ultra-wearable wares these days. It’s becoming a problem—I can’t shut up about it. Adding fuel to my fire are some new sneak-peek photos of the spring 2010 line, and, jeez, there’s some ah-mazing stuff to be had come March/April. Sneak Peek: Kate Moss’s “Comfort Food” At Topshop

Topshop just sent us their new Kate Moss holiday collection preview pics, and while we love all the festive party frocks and glammed-up knits, everyone seems to be gravitating toward the pajamas and robes section of the lineup. I don’t know about you guys, but I can remember many a holiday season where I was gifted a pair of pajamas — soft bottoms and a matching top — that I’d wear all winter long. They were usually fleece and bore some kind of childish print (snowflakes, hearts, etc.), and maybe it’s the equivalent of getting new socks in your stocking, but I just loved them! Anyway, perhaps that’s why these Topshop ditties are even more appealing. They’re the much sexier, grown-up versions of your tween holiday loungewear, like this beyond gorgeous butterfly kimono, which is a real standout in the collection. When it comes to Stella McCartney, our personal philosophy is she can do no wrong, besides lower her prices a ton. First there was all that athletic wear, then fragrance, and now, Sir Paul McCartney’s daughter is expanding her collection to include sunglasses. The shades starts at $180 and go up to $250 — look for them to drop at Stella McCartney stores worldwide and online later on this year. Sneak Peek: Hussein Chalayan For Puma

When athletic brand Puma recently took on high fashion designer Hussein Chalayan as creative director, it was clear that Puma’s future collections would up its taste level—Chalayan is known for being overtly edgy through dressing eccentric characters like Bjork as well as incorporating crazy hijinks into his designs like remote-controlled layers and LED lights. Here’s a first look at “Urban Mobility,” the first collaboration between Chalayan and Puma, due out next spring, and wow, is it ever high-fashion. Looks like you can count on track jackets with graphic details and creative construction as well as pared down sneakers. While this preview of the campaign makes the line look about as far from athletic wear as possible, we’d expect that in real life, the pieces do show off their functionality more.
