Forbidden From Riding Bikes, Afghan Girls Skateboard Around Kabul

It is forbidden for girls to ride bicycles in Afghanistan, so instead, girls learn early on to ride skateboards, which admittedly looks 10 times more badass anyway.
Take a look at photographer Jessica Fulford-Dobson’s photos of girls who are part of the NGO “Skateistan.” Forty-five percent of the students in the program are female.
