In our childhoods, it was Pogs, Tamagotchis, and snap bracelets. And maybe grown-ups didn’t like them, but we never got them taken away. Today’s youth is on a new trend kick with a company called Silly Bandz, which manufactures rubber band bracelets. (Man, we feel out of touch.) The colorful accessories are popular with the kiddies because they’re cheap at about $5 a pack, and make for fun trading with classmates.
