Style Inspiration: Miami Right Now

The new season of “Kourtney & Kim Take Miami” premieres this weekend, which means I’ll be sitting inside my cold NYC apartment suffering from serious location envy. But even if I — and you — can’t fit in a jaunt to the southern Florida hot spot, doesn’t mean we can’t take some style cues from the city for which I’m sure the world “sultry” was invented. Think bright colors and lots of white, sequins and cutouts, extreme lengths — maxi or mini — and sandals and wedges that can be paired with anything. Now, if only the weather would warm up around these parts… Keep reading »

Must Haves: 10 Super-Warm Coats, Gloves, And Scarves To Get You Through This Winter

It’s been a pretty mild winter so far here in New York, with temperatures rising above 50 just last week … so it seems only karmic that just when we were thinking we could deal with winter at its best, we’re about to get it at its worst. Rumor has it (I go on Weather.com, sometimes) that temperatures are dropping, and a big chill is coming in a big way. If you haven’t invested in some crazy-ugly, crazy-warm winter outerwear and accessories, well, you might want to hit express on that shipping. I know it’s $15. Just do it. The good news: because we’re technically moving into the next season (spring!), tons of these items are on steep sale. The bad news: you’ll have to get your hands on them quick, before a) they sell out and b) the second ice age arrives. Okay, so maybe that’s an exaggeration, but still. I just hope that when it comes, you’ll have had the foresight to wear these …

Golden Globes Style Stealer: Major Statement Earrings

I always get so inspired by red carpet fashion, until I realize that my day to day life affords me very few opportunities to wear sequin fishtail gowns, and then I get sort of depressed. But luckily for us non-famous folks, there were a few trends from last night’s Golden Globes ceremony that can easily translate to the real world: for example, sparkly statement earrings. Stars like Taylor Swift, Salma Hayek, Naomi Watts, Debra Messing, and Alyssa Milano wore huge, glam earrings last night, but this look works just as well with a little black dress for a dinner date as it does for the red carpet. Want to steal this celeb style? I found 10 pairs of gorgeous, sparkly statement earrings starting at just $24. Click through to check ‘em out…
