Ever since I bought a pair of super long, beaded, colorful earrings in San Francisco, I have been obsessed with adding more earrings to my jewelry collection that MAKE A STATEMENT. The statement? “My earrings are fucking crazy and I don’t need any other accessories, hell, I don’t need to even be wearing any clothes because your eyes will be fixated on my earlobes.” Here are eight pairs that accomplish that, on the cheap.

It’s also pretty much sold out, no matter where you go. So if you can’t get your paws on a bottle, you can still dress the shade, but choosing one of the nine Bikini So Teeny-ish-colored items we’ve found.

A swimsuit cover-up is a great addition to your beach or pool bag. Even if they don’t actually cover up that much of you, it’s nice to have a little something to throw on over your bikini to go grab a cool drink. Since your cover-up is guaranteed to get wet, sandy, and chlorinated, it’s best not to spend too much on it–let’s say $25, shall we? Here are 10 colorful cover-ups in a variety of styles and sizes that won’t break the bank. Click through to check ‘em out!
Tie-dye. Doesn’t it just conjure up hippies playing hacky sack and the pungent odor of Patchouli? Tie-dye gets a (deservably) bad rap, but you don’t have to wear hemp chords and Birkenstocks to get down with tie-dye gear. In fact, there’s lots of totally adult, respectable and cute ways to wear it. We promise!
After the jump, 10 tie-dye pieces you can say “peace” to.
Honestly, high-waisted shorts are always probably going to be one of those things that girls love and dudes just don’t understand. But who cares? You look cute in them, and they’re a great way to hide some of that summertime pooch you might have put on (all those hot dogs and ice cream sandwiches can add up).
After the jump, 10 pairs of hot high-waisted pants!
Suddenly, it seems like hot pink is everywhere! It’s super summer-appropriate, and we’re into it, but it’s also an easy color to get wrong. If you’re not careful, hot pink can make you look ho-riffic. So we suggest you pair your hot pink with neutral colors and conservative pieces.

Rising temperatures call for clothing as minimal as possible while still remaining (mostly) decent for public viewing. Don’t get me wrong — I will never forsake my overflowing collection of loose, well-worn tanks — but sometimes a sheer top with a hole here and there just doesn’t cut it. Like, not even close. When these situations arise, and on the hottest days when exposed arms and shoulders are still a non-negotiable, I turn to sleeveless tops that are a step up from my usual un-fancy fare. Here’s my roundup of ten tank tops that are just dressy enough to wear to work or play, but won’t break your bank account should they be compromised by a couple of sweat (or Popsicle) stains.
We get the point — as good as the sun may feel (and it does), it’s not actually good for you. Now that the breaking news is out, let’s talk specifics. The sun’s rays aren’t only harmful to your skin; they also wreak havoc on your hair. Days spent lazing at the beach, by the pool, or even just strolling street-side in the city zaps the moisture and color (if you have it) out of strands, leaving you not with the loose Gisele ringlets of our collective dreams but rather a stripped, lifeless, crackling crowning accessory. Sea salt and chlorine also happen to be mane enemies, so if you’re not caring for your hair after partaking in seasonal festivities, then you definitely won’t like what you have to deal with come September. With maintenance in mind, here are my nine picks for products, both pre- and post-emptive, that will help your hair keep its cool.
