Silver, gold, rose gold, brass, pewter — no matter the metal, we can’t get enough of slim, stackable rings. Seen on the hand of just about every celeb worth her style salt, there’s nothing like a helping of subtle metallic flair to finish off any outfit. Some are more intricate, others are bare-bones, but they all look good on everyone, with every outfit, for any occasion. Wear just one for a subtle statement, pile them on for a blingier finish, or order them a size small to wear mid-finger; the choice is yours. Here are 10 of our top picks…

According to the song from Annie, you’re never fully dressed without a smile. But I say, you’re never fully dressed until you’ve got something slinky and sexy on underneath. We recommend a lacy slip, bustier or bra-lette for letting your sensual side show (or not show, as it were). Check out our picks above!
I have no idea why, but I’ve noticed that “casual” plus-size dresses are often, well, not that casual. And while I’m really glad designers are making gorgeous silk sheaths in larger sizes, what are curvy girls supposed to wear out to brunch? Or to the library? Or the farmers’ market? Or, like, mini golfing? To solve this conundrum, I tracked down 10 plus-size dresses that are really, truly casual and really, truly cute. Click through to the gallery to check ‘em out!
I fell in love with the colorful fit and flare coats Michelle, Malia, and Sasha Obama wore to the presidential inauguration, and now I’m dying to get one of my own to wear for important events in my non-presidential life, such as going grocery shopping. If you want to join the the fit and flare party too, click through for 10 cozy coats in fun, feminine silhouettes…
Psst! Let me tell you a secret! The best time to buy a new coat is right now. Since it’s mid-winter, most stores are desperate to get rid of their coat stock, and you can tell by the deep discounts they’re willing to give. We have it on good authority that boxy, oversized coats are going to be so big next season — you can already see them gracing the runways — so we’ve rounded up a bunch of mega-cute, mega-cheap coats on super sale. Get ‘em while they’re hot and it’s still cold!

As someone who confines their wardrobe to the darker side of the spectrum (happily, might I add), I naturally shy away from solid brights or pastels. They clash and look kind of silly against my palette of black, grey, dark green, beige, and white, so I find that my monochromes are best brightened with a heady dose of — you guessed it — florals. Patterns add an unexpected touch to any desaturated ensemble, and florals in deeper shades strike the perfect balance between spring’s paler, more saccharine versions and this season’s all goth, all the time aesthetic. The best part? There’s no reason you should have to wait until April (at least!) to show them off.
The other day, I listened to Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” on repeat for, like, seven hours. That song is so perfect. You know what other types of chains I enjoy? Necklaces! (Smooth segue, huh?) Layered, single-strand, or adorned with pearls or rhinestones, chains are an elegant accessory that pair perfectly with little black dresses or T-shirts and jeans. Want to add a pretty chain necklace to your jewelry box? I found 10 awesome options starting at just six bucks. Click on the gallery to check ‘em out!
The new season of “Kourtney & Kim Take Miami” premieres this weekend, which means I’ll be sitting inside my cold NYC apartment suffering from serious location envy. But even if I — and you — can’t fit in a jaunt to the southern Florida hot spot, doesn’t mean we can’t take some style cues from the city for which I’m sure the world “sultry” was invented. Think bright colors and lots of white, sequins and cutouts, extreme lengths — maxi or mini — and sandals and wedges that can be paired with anything. Now, if only the weather would warm up around these parts… Keep reading »
It’s been a pretty mild winter so far here in New York, with temperatures rising above 50 just last week … so it seems only karmic that just when we were thinking we could deal with winter at its best, we’re about to get it at its worst. Rumor has it (I go on Weather.com, sometimes) that temperatures are dropping, and a big chill is coming in a big way. If you haven’t invested in some crazy-ugly, crazy-warm winter outerwear and accessories, well, you might want to hit express on that shipping. I know it’s $15. Just do it. The good news: because we’re technically moving into the next season (spring!), tons of these items are on steep sale. The bad news: you’ll have to get your hands on them quick, before a) they sell out and b) the second ice age arrives. Okay, so maybe that’s an exaggeration, but still. I just hope that when it comes, you’ll have had the foresight to wear these …
