And on the seventh day, they created Shiantology. That’s right, a group of fans has founded a religion based on Shia LaBeouf. Their mission statement says:

“Characterized by a belief in the power of Shia’s spirit to clear itself of past painful experiences (in particular, hand smashing, car crashes, and drunken outbursts in Walgreens) through self-knowledge, spiritual fulfillment and copious amounts of Arizona Ice Tea. Shiantology places an emphasis upon Shia’s immortal spirit, Shiacarnation, an extrascientific method of pshiachotherapy (Shianetics), and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, daily SHIA WALKING POSTS.”

Amazing. This has inspired us to come up with some new celebrity-based religions.

Several tabloids this week did Michael Jackson tribute issues, which is to be expected. But there’s so much other trashy celebrity drama that we need to catch up on! We’ve practically forgotten all about Jon and whatsherface or Rihanna and so-and-so. I never thought I’d say this, but I kinda need more diverse hubbub in my life (no offense MJ), so thank goodness this week hit a few of our favorite drama mongers.

Hot Hollywood couple Megan Fox and Shia LaBoeuf dined in downtown New York City last night. The sexy dress plus this grandpa cardi has her looking like a slutty Mr. Rogers. We know Shia likes older women—like his mom, but young women dressed as old men? Now that’s kinky. [NYC, 6/25/09]

Shia LaBeouf was on “The Today Show” this morning promoting the “Transformers” sequel and when Meredith Viera trotted out a female fan who was dying to meet him, Shia showed his sweet side. In fact, I might have even seen sparks fly! The best part was when Samantha told Shia she had bought her floral printed skirt just for the occasion, then asked him what kind of girl he likes. His response seemed genuine. “All kinds,” he replied. “What are you doing the rest of the day? My day is boring.” Clip above!

If nothing else, the train wreck that is young “Indiana Jones” star Shia LaBeouf has been refreshing for its candor.

We, the public, are used to a celebrity-publicist-consumers trifecta that downplays, obfuscates and outright lies when it comes to their naughty behavior. Exhibit A: Britney. Exhibit B: Lindsay. Exhibit C: Chris Brown. Exhibit D: Paris. Exhibit E: Jeremy Piven. I could go on, but you get the point.

But 23-year-old Shia LaBeouf—not through a publicist, not through a stage parent demon from hell—has been straight up when talking to the press about his troubles. Most recently, he confessed to Parade that he is an alcoholic, that he sometimes feels his life is meaningless and his insecurity is a “God-sized hole.” Certainly, not every celebrity is required to open up about their personal lives this way, but we appreciated his honesty, rather than the same-old-same-old BS.

People‘s Hottest Bachelors issue hits newsstands this Friday, and we’ve got the list. Among the supposedly best looking eligible men in Hollywood are few gentlemen who simply don’t do it for us. The offenders, after the jump.

Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf seem to like each other an awful lot. “He probably is my favorite person in the entire world,” Megan told People. And Shia replied, “We’re attracted to each other, and I think you can see that in our scenes together. It’s very real and tangible.” Holy smokes! Add in the fact that Megan’s car was apparently spotted at Shia’s house early in the morning last week, and lots of people are saying these two are a couple. [People] We wonder what Megan’s boyfriend, 90210er Brian Austin Green thinks about this “very real” chemistry?

Yeah, we aren’t buying it. “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” opens on June 24th and this has publicity stunt written all over it. With all the ridiculous things that come out of Shia and Megan’s mouths, we’re beginning to think that oversharing in general is the “Transformers” marketing strategy. Shia LaBeouf. He’s not just some kid caught up in a world war between the Autobots and the Decepticons. He’s also a sensitive music video director who likes to shoot on Super 8. Rumspringa, a Los Angeles-based group that cites influences ranging from Johnny Cash to Grandmaster Flash, is one of the 22-year-old actor’s favorite bands. Last summer, he was at one of their gigs the night he ended up getting into the car accident that wrecked his hand, temporarily endangered his role in the “Transformers” sequel, and resulted in his getting his driver’s license suspended for a year. Perhaps to keep himself out of getting into any more trouble, LaBeouf directed Rumspringa’s latest video: “Mind’s Awake.” Interestingly, the song appeared in another video late last year that focused on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Benji Madden from Good Charlotte is a goody-goody next to wild child, Paris Hilton.  Although they are supposedly “still in love,” they broke up due to lifestyle differences. She thought tattoos and a boy in the band would get her into the rock’ n’ roll lifestyle, but she picked a guy from a band loved by 13-year-olds. So, because her idea of a good time backstage is not getting a sugar high from pixie sticks, Paris decided to move on up and find a real tough guy, not just one who looks the part. Needless to say, Paris has gotta be a little wiser if she wants to live on the edge. She’s clearly going to need some help, especially since she’s also hunting for a new BFF. So we’ve got some suggestions for her new BF (you know this chick won’t stay single for long), after the jump…

Shia LaBeouf was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Now, he’s not the first celeb to be accused of driving while intoxicated. Above, see a handy chart showing how much time stars have served recently after being convicted of driving while drunk or on drugs. Most celebs get probation for their first offense, but since Shia had that incident in Walgreens, the judge might not be so nice. Our bet is that if Shia is convicted and sentenced to jail time, he’ll be on the lower end of the scale and serve approximately 85 minutes. [AP]

Yeah, we know Shia is barely legal and that it should be against the law for us to even lust after such a nubile, law-breaking boy. But it’s not.

Beards aren’t just for gay men anymore. What started as manly scruff has grown into a full-on beard trend, as indie stars rock facial hair like they’re Greek philosophers. From the Foo Fighters’ front man Dave Grohl to Jake Gyllenhaal and Justin Timberlake, razors in Hollywood seem to be strictly for below the belt.  Even Entourage’s Adrian Grenier was just spotted looking fine with more fuzz than a chia pet, while baby-faced Disney star Shia LaBeouf is all grown up with whiskers on the set of his new movie Eagle Eye.  Although the wave of hair has swept up so many, there has been one casualty: Ryan Gosling.  He recently shaved and sure, he’s so sweet we’ll always want him to impregnate us. But Ryan, while your career might be strong, the beard has got to make a comeback. We like our men looking like lumberjacks, it makes us think of wood.
