Okay, so clearly the show “1600 Penn” looks terrible. Which is weird, because both Bill Pullman and Jenna Elfman are not actualy terrible themselves. And yet the premise of a hokey, silly family in the White House seems just so totally off kilter with the current socio-political reality. But in any case, what are we thinking about this bold, stripe-y coat Elfman wore to the airport the other day? I mean, generally I’m into classic silhouettes in bright shades, but something about this is a bit off to me. Like maybe she stole it out of her mom’s closet or something. Generally, the Hilton sisters (remember them?) aren’t known for being subtle or casual. So it’s all the more remarkable that Nicky, the lesser Hilton sis, is actually pulling just that off. If it were her sister Paris, I’m sure she’d be accessorizing that cool plaid jacket with some horrific glitter jewelry, or a frilly pink scarf. But Nicki’s really working a more subdued look.
