Shannen's college education explained!

Dear EducationConnection.com,

On March 15 of this year, I wrote you a letter in reference to your commercial featuring Corn Dog Girl, wherein I raised many questions and concerns. Those questions still remain unanswered. But I am still hopeful for your response.

Onto the real reason I’m writing. In paragraph two of my March 15 query, I mentioned, in passing, my thoughts about your commercials featuring Shannen Doherty:

“I kind of got the one with Shannen Doherty. But not really. Is Shannen done being an actress? Or is she going to college to do research for a part? And why does her face look so strange? It doesn’t really look like she’s had work done. But there is something weird going on with her mouth, right?”

Shannen Doherty Shills For Education Connection

Education Connection commercials are diabolical. They run during shows like “Degrassi” and “Teen Mom” and generally contain cute young things signing far-too-catchy songs about how they used EducationConnection.com to find an online degree program. Their jingles implant themselves deep in your brain and you find yourself humming them in the shower, even if you graduated from college 10 years ago and tend to not trust websites that advertise on TV as being “free.” Now Education Connection has shifted tactics in controlling my brain. They have hired one of my faves, Shannen Doherty, to shill for them. Very crafty, Education Connection, very crafty.

Shannen Doherty Getting Married, This Time On Camera

Shannen Doherty doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to marriage. After saying “I do” to Ashley Hamilton, their marriage lasted a meager five months. Her marriage to Rick Salomon didn’t last much longer—nine months—and busted when his sex tape with Paris Hilton hit the internet. But Shannen is still hopeful about the idea of getting hitched. Last year, she said, “I believe in marriage as a whole because my parents were married for 43 years, so I have the best example in the world of what marriage can be. … You just have to be 100 percent sure. You have to go in with your eyes wide open.” So I am wishing her far better luck with her current fiance, photographer Kurt Iswarienko, who she plans to marry in the fall.

But I’m a little worried. Why? Because Shannen will be televising her nuptials. And we know how that usually turns out. Keep reading »
