This Friday, fashion mag Oyster will do a novel thing — they’re launching an all-lady issue. The fun starts with a cover shot by amazing New York photographer Cass Bird featuring ’90s supermodel Shalom Harlow, and continues on the inside with features on Tavi Gevinson; Editor of the New York Times T magazine, Sally Singer; “Girls” creator Lena Dunham; and a column by Slutever blog’s Karley Sciortino. Also featured: illustrator Julie Verhoeven, photographer Alice Spriongs and actress Marisa Berenson, who spoke about her grandmother Elsa Schiaparelli.

It seems sort of funny that a magazine devoted to covering women’s fashion would have to specially devote an issue to “women,” but there you have it. We’ll be picking one up.
