Well, now there’s a study that says happily married adults have lower blood pressure than single people. Don’t take this as an edict to get married, though, because the unhappily married had even worse blood pressure than singles. The SATC character who probably made the most money on the show (fancy corporate lawyer Miranda) is played by the actress who is worth the least (Cynthia Nixon), and the character who made the least (Carrie) is played by the actress who is worth the most (Sarah Jessica Parker). According to an article in the April issue of Portfolio, Cynthia’s market value is $2.5 million, while SJP is worth $25 million. The person who really got shortchanged is Candace Bushnell. Romance On TV: It’s A Lipstick Jungle Out There
It’s weird — as much as I loved Sex and the City when it was on TV, in retrospect, watching the episodes on demand now, I realize how “meh” the show was in its last few seasons. Which is why I was half-super excited and half-weary of seeing the latest show based on a Candace Bushnell book, Lipstick Jungle. After watching the premiere last Thursday, I’m pretty sure that the show is going to have the same indulgent guilty pleasure quality of SATC, minus the oh-so-quotable-soundbites and wading pool-deep lessons. Even though wearing heels can cause problems–SJP has said that wearing them for years while taping Sex and the City did a number on her knees (and sometimes my back hurts if I wear a pair for long stints or multiple days)–there are some benefits, according to a new study by the University of Verona. Wearing medium-height heels can tone and condition muscles and may improve your sex life. The Hills Is A Sexless City
Some people say that The Hills is a younger, reality version of Sex and the City. We don’t really see how this can be true: There was actual sex (sometimes kinky) on SATC, but the most Brody Jenner has gotten from Lauren is a little make out action when they were in Vegas celebrating his birthday. Towards the end of this season we thought Lauren seemed a little cold and detached. For example, when Brody came over, she had tons and tons of candles all over her apartment, but despite the romantic lighting, he had to convince her to cuddle with him! We would cuddle with Brody any day (and kiss him with tongue, another rare occurrence on the show). [E!]

Fifty might become the new 20 if the rumors are true that the Sex and the City movie might become a trilogy. A source says that a script for a sequel is already in the works, with the possibility that there will be a third film in the series, meaning Sarah Jessica Parker might be playing Carrie Bradshaw until she goes gray.
