Police have found the body of Shaniya Davis, a 5-year-old in Fayetteville, North Carolina, who went missing last week after her mother sold her daughter’s body for sex trafficking. Shaniya’s mother, Antoinette Nicole Davis, reported her daughter missing from their mobile home last week. But surveillance video allegedly showed Shaniya entering a hotel with a man named Mario Andrette McNeill, who has since been charged with first-degree kidnapping. Earlier today, police said “reliable information” led them to Shaniya’s body on land near a roadway by Sanford, NC. Davis has been charged with felony child abuse, prostitution and filing a false police report—and being the worst mother in the history of the world. We’re not particularly religious people, but when we hear stories about kids and sex abuse, especially ones like this, we get all sentimental.
