A Sequel To “Life Size” Is On The Way!

life size tyra banks lindsay lohan

Vintage Lindsay Lohan fans, rejoice! A sequel to the oh-so-fabulous Disney film “Life Size” is in the works, and I am thrilled. The made-for-TV-movie, which came out in 2000, stars Lindsay as troubled pre-teen Casey and Tyra Banks as Eve, a doll that comes to life. It’s every little girl’s dream (or nightmare)! The two ladies go on an adventure of self-discovery and lots of girl talk as Eve faces an existential crisis while trying to accept that she is, in fact, a doll and not a human. Keep reading »

Can you say, aca-fuck yes? The Barden Bellas of “Pitch Perfect” are returning to a movie theater near you in 2015. The head of Universal Pictures has confirmed the studio’s plan for “Pitch Perfect 2,” with the original screenwriter Kay Cannon on board. Judging by what the actors have said in past interviews — and Sunday night’s MTV Movie Awards reunion performance — we’re willing to bet that the full cast, or at least the majority of it, will be back for a second round. Two words: Rebel Wilson. (And if you haven’t seen the movie by now… see it. Just do it.) [Slash Film]

Hold On To Your Phone Booths—”Bill And Ted 3″ Is For Real

“When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn’t happened. So they’ve now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there’s an element of time and they have to go back.”

Keanu Reeves himself confirms that, yes, “Bill and Ted 3″ is in the works and that the screenplay is close to being finished. I am way too excited at the prospect of Wyld Stallyns’ Keanu and Bill Winters reuniting on screen for more phone booth time travel adventures. It’s just so sad that George Carlin is no longer around to revive the role of Rufus. Sigh. [Huffington Post] Keep reading »

9 Movies That Are Randomly Getting Sequels In 2011

Video game fans, children of the ’80s, and Olivia Wilde enthusiasts everywhere are pretty excited about the opening of “TRON: Legacy” tonight. Very strangely, it’s the sequel to “TRON,” a Jeff Bridges movie about a man stuck in a video game made 20 years ago. (It bombed at the box office, but went on to be a cult classic.) And it seems to have started a trend of very random movies getting sequels. “Shakespeare in Love 2″? “Bill and Ted 3″? Read on to see what movies will bizarrely be getting the sequel treatment soon. Which are you excited for and which are you dreading?

We Write ‘Em: 6 ’80s Movies Dying for Sequels

“Wall Street 2,” the sequel to the ’80s tome about unfettered greed, “Wall Street,” opens this weekend. I never saw the first “Wall Street” — I was in elementary school when it came out and still think a hedge fund is money you save to buy new shrubbery — so I’ll probably skip “Wall Street 2.” But! There are a bunch of movie sequels we Frisky gals would love to make a reality. And it’s just a matter of time before some uncreative studio jumps on these sure-to-be-hit film ideas! Movie moguls, call us! Keep reading »

What We Want Out Of The “Sex And The City” Movie Sequel

The “Sex and the City” movie sequel is all but confirmed — Kim Cattrall says it’s on, Sarah Jessica Parker says a few details still need to be ironed out, but given the success of the first film this summer, I don’t think we’ll be able to avoid another Carrie & Co. chick flick fest. So what do we want out of round two? Entertainment Weekly had their own ideas and, sorry, we were a little bored. Miranda a PTA mom? No thanks. Our brilliant plot line suggestions, after the jump… Keep reading »
