UPDATE: Bummer, y’all. Scarlett’s lawyers have spoken and requested that we — and the rest of the internet — take down the photos. But luckily, Scarlett has inspired an internet meme: #ScarlettJohanssoning. Check out these folks trying out ScarJo’s patented pose here.
Back in March, it was revealed that Scarlett Johansson—along with about 50 other famous folks—had nude photos stolen from her iPhone by an especially ambitious hacker. Authorities said they had caught said person, and that the motivation for grabbing the photos (he or she also found those ones of Vanessa Hudgens) was the thrill rather than money. But now, the photos have surfaced online. We’d love to think that ScoJo was too smart to snap images of herself in the buff since these things always get out, but alas not. This one, at least, is nicely arty. Let’s just hope it wasn’t intended for Sean Penn. [ONTD]
In 1968, French singer Serge Gainsbourg recorded his classic “Bonnie & Clyde” along with Brigitte Bardot. And now Serge’s son, Lulu Gainsbourg, has re-recorded the classic and found himself a new famous, hot blonde to sing the female parts with—Scarlett Johansson. The song will appear on an upcoming tribute album to Lulu’s father. I’m actually not the biggest fan of ScoJo’s voice, but I do like that they decided to make the song bilingual here. But if this isn’t meant to be a Moet & Chandon commercial, the company owes these two a lot of money. [Huffington Post] Keep reading »
“The following month, it snowballed. My hotel room flooded, my dog got sick, I came down with a slight case of divorce, and I broke my pinky finger. I was begging to get out of Atlanta at that point. No offense to Atlanta—it’s a fantastic place—but it really wants my blood.”
—Ryan Reynolds talks to Jay Leno about his terrible luck filming “The Change Up” in Atlanta, Georgia. A slight case of divorce? That reminds me of a substitute teacher I had in the fourth grade who referred to the Civil War as “The Unpleasantness Between The States.” Yes, that really happened. [Huffington Post] Keep reading »
This week, there is so much exciting news from that magical land where stars are cast for movies we won’t get to actually watch for years. First off, Clint Eastwood is slated to direct a remake of “A Star is Born,” the classic musical tale of an alcoholic actor who helps a youngin’ make it big while his own career crumbled. Both Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand have starred in remakes of it before, so I was interested to see who Eastwood would big for the female lead. And woo hoo—it will be Beyoncé. Will Smith was once rumored to for the male lead, but the word on the street now is that Eastwood is going after Leonardo DiCaprio, who he’s currently working with on “J. Edgar.” And that pairing would be kinda awesome. [Deadline]
Speaking of ladies we love belting out songs on screen, Scarlett Johansson has signed on for a musical, too. Keep reading »
Woo hoo! A celebrity has decided to do an homage to an actress of yesteryear, and it is not Marilyn Monroe. In the newest issue of W, photographer Tim Walker snapped Scarlett Johansson done up as Marlene Dietrich, complete with penciled-in eyebrows. Oh, and she dressed up as Buster Keaton and Elvis too. You can see the Buster photos here, though sadly the Elvis ones will never reach our eyes because, as Scarlett says, they “didn’t look appealing.” Keep reading »
