Have you seen the “Carried On” posters hanging around your local movie theaters? The impending May release date means the “Sex and the City” ladies are going to be all over the place promoting their sequel. Cue the fashion choices, accessories to swoon over, and shoes that are sure to be unaffordable. And though May still feels far away, Carrie, Charlotte, and Samantha (er, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon) have already begun the press rounds. Before everyone gets too catty, Kim Cattrall is MIA because she’s currently starring in a play called “Private Lives.” Now, on to the fashion: Kristin chose a floral Oscar de la Renta dress, while Cynthia wore a modest dress below the knee, but it was Sarah Jessica’s yellow Lanvin number that won in our eyes. Carrie always was the most fashionable of the crew. What do you think?

We’re mere months away from the release of “Sex and the City 2,” which comes out on May 27. The rumors are already flying about the fashion, the infidelities, and the best friends you never had! I’m a die-hard fan of “SATC,” but will Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and (Kristin Davis) ultimately disappoint us? They’re going to leave us here eventually, fingering the stems of our Cosmopolitans, but will the sequel briefly satisfy that itch? We’ve compiled five reasons to see and not to see the movie. Oh, and minor spoiler alert ahead! Keep reading »

If you’re as immature as we are, Sarah Jessica Parker‘s recent spot for “Sesame Street” about the concept of “big” will send you into a fit of giggles.
Oh, poor Grover. If you only knew what we were thinking when you shout, “You must want the biggest thing I can find!” Oh yeah she does, the little minx. [YouTube] Keep reading »
“I’ve told my agent I’m just too old to play the part again.”
–Sarah Jessica Parker stated for the record back in 2006. Today, sources are reporting plans to film a third “Sex and the City” film back-to-back with the second (currently in the works) due to concerns over the characters’ aging. Geriatrics or not, really? A third one? [The Sun] Keep reading »
Everyone knows that Sarah Jessica Parker’s wardrobe for her character Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City is beyond enviable. From the high heels to the brilliant accessories to the odd little pieces that stylist Patricia Field works in, each and every item is a gem. For most, many of these pieces are impossible to own given their high price tags and designer names. But now, with the upcoming release of the second film, a boutique in London called Start London, is giving away ONE Halston Heritage dress. If you’ve seen the trailer, its the light pink floaty number that Carrie wears along with a silver turban. Here’s the problem – you’ll have to be the perfect size—a 10—for the dress to fit, but we say, good luck to all! [Grazia] Keep reading »
You may have heard of the golden ratio of beauty at this point. Scientists love to talk about it (I assume because it’s considered a “sexy” study and therefore it gets them more press). After all, the closer we come to quantifying that elusive asset called beauty, the easier it may be to manipulate ourselves in order to achieve it. And yes, that is sick and twisted, but it’s not my fault humans are the way they are.
Anyhoo, researchers at University of California, San Diego claim they have big news to share: They say they’ve “discovered the ideal alignment of female facial features, a pair of measurements that explain why one woman is perceived as attractive and the other, well, isn’t,” which seems weird since many a scientist before has boasted the same thing. But interestingly, these folks have some ideas on how to fake the kind of symmetry that will make the masses bow down and want to bone you. Keep reading »
“It has taken me three years to decide on the scent because I really like B.O. and I think it’s sexy. I wanted to figure out a way to make it palatable to everybody. I was like, ‘How do you get B.O. in a bottle and make an atomizer of it?’ ‘Then it was all about trying to capture the sense of naughtiness in a bottle that it would be good for a man and a woman.”
– Sarah Jessica Parker on the inspiration for her next scent. I suppose we should be grateful that she didn’t go with her other favorite scent — dirty, warm diapers. [Digital Spy] Keep reading »
