“I think it’s all about working on the relationship and making it better … when it’s good. Don’t wait for a problem to work on things. The goal is not to get into a relationship; the goal is to be in a relationship.”
– Ashton Kutcher shares the best relationship advice he ever received in the December issue of Women’s Health. Well, that’s awkward now that he and Demi are dunzo. I wonder if that was what he was doing that night with Sara Leal, “working on his relationship.” Okay, that was harsh. Look, I was all for Ashton and Demi having an open marriage, if that was indeed their arrangement, but the fellow is just slippery. I normally don’t care what celebrities do in the bedroom, but the transcript of his alleged night with Leal made me feel like I needed to take a shower. I can only imagine how his wife felt reading it. But I thank him for his relationship advice — it’s just good if you actually follow it. [Huffington Post]
Ashton Kutcher has upgraded his defense by dappling in a new medium: check out his video (watch it here) treatise on the evolving nature of truth in publishing. Sounding a smidge like he’s addressing a Philosophy 101 class, he says:
“I just wanted to open up a little dialogue on the state of honesty. The state of truth. The status of truth as it pertains to literature and media… Publishers (once) held great scrutiny over what they were willing to print because their reputation was on the line. When the cost structure comes down on printing… the level of honesty of literature starts to plummet… I started thinking about that in relation to media and social media today where the threshold to actually have literature printed and distributed… is zero dollars… thereby there is no gatekeeper of the truth…We are our own editors, we are our own publishers and we are our own printers. Therefore, people can bastardize the truth in any way, shape or form that they want and spread that around the world…”
The only thing I took away from that was “bastard.” What to you guys think of Ashton’s vid? [Starpulse]
The tabloids have been rife with rumors of Ashton Kutcher having an affair with a younger woman — maybe two. According to reports, Kutcher partied his booty off at a San Diego tech convention, getting down and dirty with two women, the weekend he and wife Demi Moore celebrated (or perhaps didn’tcelebrate) their sixth wedding anniversary.
So far Demi and Ashton haven’t commented, but if the rumors are true, none of us are probably terribly surprised. After all, celebrity marriages crumble all the time. But what does surprise me — though of course it shouldn’t — is the way the media is portraying a possible split as inevitable because Moore is older than Kutcher. She is 48. He is 33. And one of the women Kutcher supposedly cheated with is 23. Read more…
