Super creepy former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner is facing sexual harassment and assault charges from three women who were allegedly victimized by him. Filner resigned in August after 18 women, including his employees, came forward with allegations that he had touched them without their consent. The AP is now reporting that the California Attorney General will charge Filner with two counts of battery (misdemeanors) and false imprisonment by violence, fraud, menace or deceit (felony), which are filed by three female victims being identified as Jane Does. Filner admitted to “”intimidation” of women, but denied committing any sexual harassment or sexual assault. Amidst allegations that he had groped numerous woman, San Diego Mayor Bob Filner, a Democrat, released a public apology on Thursday admitting there was some truth to sexual harassment allegations against him. Admitting “I need help,” the 70-year-old confessed in a DVD provided to the media that “I have reached into my heart and soul and realize I must and will change my behavior.” However, the mayor vehemently maintains he is not guilty of sexual harassment.

I grew up in San Diego, so I’ve spent years hearing people say to me, “Oh my GOD, San Diego is the most beautiful city in the United States” and being, like, “Huh? I guess.” Growing up in a place often makes it hard to appreciate it’s natural beauty so after moving away for college and then to New York for post-University work, I’ve finally realized how good I had it with the endless 70-degree days, incredible beaches, irreplaceable Mexican good, and can’t-beat-it access to Mexico and Central America. And now that I’ve learned my lesson, my mom decided to move east, so my excuse to go to SoCal and visit have dwindled.
