It appears that Rosie Huntington-Whitely is wearing a scarf as a dress, and hello, go for it. This looks like the perfect outfit for a day date with boyfriend Jason Statham (we assume). The only thing we’d change is that belt, which veers a bit on the clearance-rack-at-Costco side of life. Otherwise, go forth and conquer us with your model ways, Rosie. [Photo: Pacific Coast News]
Sometimes I see an outfit and I respond in ways far beyond, “Oh, that’s cute.” No, sometimes I see an outfit and I imagine myself wearing it. I imagine where I’m wearing it and who is with me and what I am eating and drinking and saying while I’m wearing it. It’s not just an outfit, it’s a life. Or something.
Like, I see this outfit on Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and I imagine myself wearing it — albeit with the pants a few sizes bigger, with a shorter hem, because this is me not some supermodel — as I stroll the streets of some town in the South of France. I am smoking, but the cigarettes don’t cause cancer in this imaginary world, and I am holding hands with my French fling and he’s more intelligent than in real life, though his English is still atrocious, but that’s what makes our conversations so charming. And suddenly he stops, sets the bottle of wine he was carrying down on the cobble-stoned street, and using his gold pinky-ringed hand, he lifts the brim of my terribly chic hat that only works on some people, and he kisses me. It is terribly romantic, but then a stray cat wanders over and knocks over the wine onto my suede shoes, but we don’t care because this outfit is perfect. The End. [Photos: Fame/Flynet]
Seriously, you guys, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley needs to stop being so freakin’ flawless. In addition to being a Victoria’s Secret Angel, (hopefully one-off — sorry, lady, I love you but it’s just not your thing) actress, and the girlfriend to supremely handsome action hero Jason Statham, the model has just launched her own eponymous lingerie line (which features, get this, roses!) with British retailer Marks & Spencer. Rosie has a signature beauty look that she doesn’t often deviate from, and for good reason: it’s pretty, subtle, and highlights her perfect features rather than overshadowing them. Fortunately for us flawed mortals, it’s also universally flattering, so while it may not make you look like Rosie, you’ll definitely look like a better, rosier version of yourself. Keep reading »
Super-stylish and superhumanly attractive Rosie Huntington-Whiteley always looks good, whether she’s glitzed out on the red carpet or all mucked up in “Transformers.” Needless to say, her “going out to do errands” look is (approximately infinitely) more impressive than my “this is the best I have ever looked,” but the best thing about Rosie’s chic off-duty outfits is that they’re so imitable, you may even have some of the pieces in your wardrobe already (that hunter suede Céline Phantom and crazy-toned arms, not so much). This fresh ensemble in particular is perfect for weird transitional weather, and can easily be dressed up for night with some killer black pumps when time is of the essence. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is professionally hot, but her attempts to cross over into the acting realm have been tenuous. After all, she never really sold herself as an actress, just a model who — surprise! — happens to be both excruciatingly good-looking and decent enough at following directions, which was more than good enough for Michael Bay. Rosie’s next foray is into the design sphere with a lingerie collection to be distributed by British high street giant Marks & Spencer. Not-so-serendipitously, she already models for the brand’s Autograph intimates line, so her branch of it is simply a “natural extension” of Rosie’s relationship with the retailer. The collection, which she will be the face of, will be called Rosie for Autograph and consists of 33 pieces, including bras, panties, camisoles, and kimonos. The items will have a pink rose motif, which is only intuitive for someone called Rosie. A stroke of genius, I say. [NYMag.com]
Happy birthday, Rosie! The gorgeous English model turns 25 today, and she has plenty of reasons to celebrate. Rosie was a relative unknown until 2008, when she scored her big break by way of the opportunity of a lifetime: Burberry’s chief creative director, Christopher Bailey, chose the Victoria’s Secret catalogue model to replace Agyness Deyn in the British fashion house’s fall/winter ad campaign. It was all uphill from then on, with a British Vogue cover following shortly thereafter. Now Rosie is practically a household name, nearly as ubiquitous a model as her VS Angel counterparts Alessandra Ambrosio or Adriana Lima, and it shouldn’t take any more than a look at her to fathom what makes her a star (here’s a hint: it’s not ”Transformers”). Her intimidating beauty and leggy stature is offset by a quiet British modesty and sense of propriety, not to mention a standout dress sense. Rosie doesn’t do it all on her own, so let’s give credit where credit is due — Cher Coulter, the stylist also behind Kate Bosworth, Elizabeth Olsen, and Sienna Miller, to name a few, is the one responsible for Rosie’s elegant, casual, always impeccable look. Yeah, I want Cher to be my stylist, too! Check out my picks for Rosie’s ten best red carpet looks (disregarding the fact that this girl looks good in literally anything and everything) in the gallery above.
You’ve seen the controversial Burberry Body fragrance print ad starring a nearly nude Rosie Huntington-Whiteley dressed in just a rose gold satin trench coat. Well, check out the Mario Testino-filmed TV advert where the “Transformers 4″ actress strips down while spritzing on the sexy new floral fragrance.
“It’s the Burberry world translated into a scent, embodying every facet of the brand including our music, collections, scent, platforms and communities,” said Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s chief creative officer. ” We wanted to create something very British, feminine, timeless, distinctive and effortlessly sensual, with the attitude and energy of our iconic trench coat at the heart of it.” Read more… Keep reading »
“They get really, really red when I’m angry or passionate and pale when I’m miserable or tired. They have a life of their own. They get me in trouble. You know mood rings? I’ve got mood lips … They are one thing I don’t have to work on.”
—Victoria’s Secret model and “Transformers 3″ star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley talks to Australian Maxim about what she deems a medical oddity, her ginormous lips. Apparently, their color betrays her emotions? I’m assuming her boyfriend, hot action star Jason Statham, has the color-decoding key. [NY Daily News] Keep reading »
