RJ Cutler’s Vogue documentary, “The September Issue,” comes out in New York at the end of August (when the Sept. 2009 issue will be hitting newsstands). After watching the trailer last month, we’ve been obsessed with Anna Wintour’s clever, biting style of criticism and can’t wait to hear more along the lines of, “This type seems so large and pretentious. It looks like it’s for blind people.” Until then, we’ll settle for these new ringtones. While Anna would never in a million years call us, the “Anna Wintour’s office” ring makes it sounds like her people are calling us! We’ve never felt so important in our lives. A Ringtone That Enhances Your… Breasts?

A Japanese “scientist” claims he has composed a breast enhancing ringtone. According to Hideto Tomabechi, a woman can increase the size of her breasts in only 10 days if she listens to the ringtone 20 times every 24 hours. Sounds easy, but don’t get too excited just yet. The ring tone apparently has many layers of sound to stimulate breast tissue growth, but the predominate clamor is a baby shrieking. Actually, don’t get too excited period, as this seems to be one of the biggest/funniest cons in YouTube history. If those Rachel Zoe ringtones weren’t enough to satisfy your fashion-for-your-phone appetite (or if they weren’t compatible with your iPhone), now you can get Anna Wintour and André Leon Talley on your cell, thanks to Cityfile. The Vogue editor-in-chief gives you style advice: “Jeans and T-shirts can be equally fashionable as an Oscar de la Renta ballgown.” And the editor-at-large has a few words for those trying to get into the fashion biz: “Don’t be so fabulous that you can’t Xerox!” which would be an excellent ringtone for when your boss calls. We are obsessed with Rachel Zoe, and really, how can you not be enthralled? She’s a fur-wearing, über-tan shopaholic who utters quotable phrases like it’s her job.     Ringtone Promotes Safe Sex In India

    There are many ways to let people know you’re into having safe sex. The easiest being to verbalize your needs: “I will not sleep with you unless you use a condom.” If you lived in India, you could always let your phone tell people for you. A cell phone ring tone was launched August 8 and features a singer chanting the word “condom” 50 times. So far it has been downloaded 60,000 times. “A ring tone is a very public thing,” said Yvonne MacPherson, the country director of BBC World Service Trust India. “It’s a way to show you are a condom user and you don’t have any issues with it.” We can think of a few other ringtones we wish existed… Keep reading »
