Every once in a while, I get my eyebrows professionally threaded. But for the most part, I tweeze. Because I’m lazy, and also anxiety-prone and ripping out eyebrow hairs feels somehow calming. But most tweezers? Totally ineffectual. It’s so hard to see the hairs! But not anymore. Revlon finally put two and two together and realized that to adequately tweeze you’ve got to be able to see the effing hairs. So they created the Revlon Spotlight Tweezer With LED Technology, and added a small LED light to their latest tweezers, and holy crap, what an improvement. You can actually see the hairs — even the little ones that are super wispy and easy to miss. Better tweezing through science! [$10.99, Drugstore.com]
I am very possibly a lip beauty product hoarder. Alas, that is not what we are here to discuss.
I’d long admired the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain at my local pharmacy, but I never felt justified in forking over $8 for yet another lip product. Then last weekend I lost my nerve and finally bought the shade Lovesick, a vibrant-but-not-clownish hot pink. Keep reading »
I think I’ve mentioned my love for Revlon Lip Butters a few times now, most recently in the context of my summer makeup routine, but I thought it was time to make things official and
ask Lip Butter to marry me write up a full Beauty Test Drive. This awesome lip balm/lipstick hybrid is the bestselling lip color of the year, and I’ve contributed to its success by buying three shades (so far) and recommending it to many of my friends, especially the ones who are hesitant about lipstick. Want to know why? Get the scoop, after the jump… Keep reading »

So we’ve compared some of the most popular corals on the market. Can you tell which is the $24 lipstick and which was plucked from CVS shelves for just $1.99? Keep reading »
Having a manicure is kind of “my thing.” I very rarely have bare, unpolished nails for longer than a day or two, and my bathroom cabinet is stocked with polish colors I love. Unfortunately, “my thing” can be a bit of a pricey luxury, as getting a manicure once a week adds up! Recently, however, I’ve started doing my own nails and have been going to the nail salon less — and thanks to Revlon’s Liquid Quick Dry, I don’t have to spent 20 minutes trying to dry my handiwork (pun intended!) under the blowdryer. I am not overstating when I say this top coat protects against chipping almost instantly. I am not entirely sure how it works, but it’s more liquid-y than most topcoats and contains mineral oil that’s good for moisturizing the nail beds. I have been let down by many a top coat before, but this one, I swear to you, is an impatient gal’s best friend. [$5.75, Drugstore.com]
Earlier this week, Olivia Wilde was named Revlon’s new Global Brand Ambassador, which we imagine means she’s got to look pretty and wear Revlon around the world. Shouldn’t be too hard for Ms. Wilde, who’s one of the most gorgeous faces in Hollywood at the moment. To commemorate the occasion, she wore this polka dot skirt and breathtaking Lanvin blouse. Of course, Wilde can afford the more than $1,000 that her Lanvin look costs, while we can, alas, not. So that’s why we’ve dug out some similar items that will give you her look for way less.
