The theme of this week’s television offerings is, without a doubt, goodbyes. (Besides a hello to the new season of “The Bachelorette,” which Amelia is liveblogging starting at 9 p.m. EST.) After 20 years, “Law & Order” is dunzo after this week’s episode. And after eight years, the clock has finally ticked down on Jack Bauer and “24.” Not to mention that “American Idol,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “How I Met Your Mother,” and “Tough Love Couples” are all done for the season. The television giveth and it taketh away. While it’s upfronts week and we’re getting to hear about all the awesome new shows that will be starting in the fall, this week also wraps up the season for many of the shows we already love. This week alone brings the season finale of “House” (will Hugh Laurie stop being a meanie?), “90210″ (who will Liam ask on his boat—Naomi or Annie?), “V” (what will Erica do with her invite to the mothership?), “Grey’s Anatomy” (what ailment will guest star Mandy Moore have?), “Bones” (can we even watch this show knowing that David Boreanaz is a sleaze?), and “30 Rock” (is Matt Damon really the man of Liz Lemon’s dreams?). And, of course, “Lost.” If the trailer for Sunday night’s two-and-a-half-hour season finale (starting at 9 p.m. on ABC) doesn’t give you chills, well, you’re probably not human. I just realized that it’s been more than two months since I’ve gone to see a movie. Why? Because why pay $10+ to sit in a freezing theater when I can park it on the couch and watch all the amazingness that is my television. This week, like all weeks this month, I am super pumped for the final episodes of “Lost.” But there’s some other great stuff going down, too, like the season finale of “America’s Next Top Model,” fresh episodes of “Friday Night Lights” (finally!), and a “Simpsons”-themed dose of “Top Chef Masters.” After the jump, check out previews. It’s really beautiful outside, yet this doesn’t make me want to leave the house to frolic in the sun. I think it’s because I’m depressed and it just seems like nature is laughing at me.
