I’ll be honest. I’m kind of over fedoras. I mean, I have been over them for dudes since day one (though a lifetime exception is made for Mr. Justin Timberlake), but I was down with the trend for the ladies earlier this fall. Reese Witherspoon is still a fan, however, and has paired hers with a cute floral skater skirt, slouchy sweater and booties. You can feel free to do the same when replicating this outfit, or ditch the fedora in favor of whatever you think the next trend in headgear will be. Bowlers? Mouse ears? A snood? Ugh, wait, not a snood. Anyway, get the details on how to steal Reese’s steez, after the jump!

There are many, many days where I wake up and just cannot make a decision on what to wear to work. That’s why it’s smart to have a couple go-to outfits that you always feel good in. This outfit worn by Reese Witherspoon is a great example. A sleek, black peplum top, plus skinny jeans, leopard-print pumps and a delicate pendant necklace, will take you from work to happy hour, without wasting 45 minutes fretting in the morning. This look also would look fab and sophisticated on all body types. Check out all the details after the jump! Keep reading »
It doesn’t yet have a release date, but allow me to make a prediction about the upcoming Atom Egoyan film ”Devil’s Knot,” about the now infamous West Memphis Three murder case — stars Reese Witherspoon and Colin Firth will be on the short list of possible Oscar nominees. “Devil’s Knot” is based on the true events surrounding the West Memphis Three case, in which three teens were convicted of the murder of three children in the early-’90s in West Memphis, Arkansas, despite copious evidence that they were innocent. The young men, now adults, long maintained their innocence, but did not see have their convictions overturned and were not released from jail until 2011. I lovvvve Reese Witherspoon as a dramatic actress, especially when she has such fantastic material to work with. And director Atom Egoyan — who’s done a string of strange but genius movies — is an interesting choice to helm the film, but that makes me all the more interested in seeing it. As for Colin Firth? Bonus! Check out the trailer above. [NYMag.com]
We are so, so, soooo excited that author, advice giver, general badass, and The Frisky staff’s literary life coach (Tiny Beautiful Things is pretty much our bible around here) Cheryl Strayed‘s memoir, Wild, is being adapted into a movie. Earlier today, the film’s producer and star, Reese Witherspoon, posted this photo of herself decked out in Cheryl’s hiking outfit and hoisting the famously giant backpack she carried on the Pacific Crest Trail. Reese really does resemble Cheryl here, doesn’t she? Can’t wait to see the adventure play out on the big screen. [Reese Witherspoon on Who Say]
Reese Witherspoon’s style is typically kind of girlie and casual and very California, which I like, by the way, but I love when she takes risks. This outfit is one such example: all-black, save the totally buttoned up shit, I dig the kicky skirt and sexy boots and OMG that jacket. Perfect for fall and easy to recreate! Get the shopping deets after the jump…
