It’s de riguer to wear extravagant hats to the Kentucky Derby, which means there’s lots of opportunities for attendees to go completely over-the-top. This year’s Derby was no exception — attendees sported wild hats, and in some cases, even more outrageous dresses. Take a look at our gallery of Derby Day looks and let us know what you think in the comments.
This weekend, politicians and D-list celebs like Caroline Manzo hobnobbed at “nerd prom” aka the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, but if I could have had my pick, I would have gone to the Comedy Awards instead. Tons of funny and fine-lookin’ ladies were in attendance; we know they brought the jokes, but did they bring it in the fashion department as well? Let’s find out…
This past weekend was the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and literally, like, anybody who’s ever been on TV was there. I mean, Caroline Manzo from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” attended. So did Rob Morrow, that guy from “Northern Exposure.” And as you might imagine, there were a zillion famous ladies in dresses, great and small. Some of them were gorgeous, others not so much. Let’s take a look, shall we?
You can count on the Tribeca Film Festival and the events during it to provide a very eclectic crowd and, with that crowd, plenty of fashion fodder. Tuesday night’s turnout for the Chanel Artist Dinner at the glamorous Odeon was distinctly fashion-based, attracting designers, socialites, and — my absolute favorite — some of the modeling industry’s most illustrious names (and Kimye, but let’s forget about that). As one might anticipate, this gathering was almost unprecedentedly well-dressed, so it takes an opinionated eye to separate the best from the rest. Fortunately, I’ve never exactly been known for my neutrality. Here’s my selection of the good, the bad, and the just meh from last night’s event.
The Tribeca Film Festival continues to roll on, and stars keep turning out for film premieres and events, panels and discussions. Over the past couple of days, there’s been premieres for “Your Sister’s Sister,” “The Five-Year Engagement,” “DeadFall,” and a whole bunch more. Shall we take a look at what everyone wore? (Oooh, that rhymed!)
Last night, the Tribeca Film Festival kicked off with a party hosted by Vanity Fair, and dozens of celebs — including Dakota Fanning and Julia Louis-Dreyfus — turned out. The purpose of the Robert De Niro-founded fest is technically to promote films, but famous folk are really there to schmooze and party. Oh, and wear crazy clothes. Check ‘em out!
