Joe Gorga Does Drag. Again.

Last night’s “Real Housewives of New Jersey” was highly entertaining, if oddly off season. (Am I the only one who has a hard getting into the Christmas spirit when it’s 90 degrees out?) I was highly amused when Jacqueline joked as she set her table for a dinner party, “Teresa’s flipped a table and Joe bangs on tables. I don’t know why these tables take so much abuse from them! One day they’re gonna fight back.” Oddly, they didn’t. But during the shindig, our favorite new housewife—Joe Gorga—put on Jacqueline’s glittery bodysuit and did high kicks, on a dare from Albie. It’s the second time he’s rocked drag on the show. “Am I supposed to put that back on when his balls are flopping around in there?” Jacqueline asked, watching him. And his wife Melissa added, “I’m so not having sex tonight.” [NY Daily News] Keep reading »

The Real Housewives Of The Bible?

Move over Ramona, NeNe, Gretchen, and Camille. Author and Christian relationship advice columnist Ty Adams has created a spoof version of Bravo’s infamous franchise called “The Real Housewives of the Bible.” It will be a two-part, straight-to-DVD series and will be out next month. “I was frustrated with what I was seeing,” Adams said. “A lot of society is looking towards programming to educate them on relationships and these shows haven’t effectively done that. They have ruined and tainted our ability to secure good relationships and to make women into good wives.”

The concept here? Keep reading »

LuAnn De Lesseps Recruits Jill Zarin And Kelly Bensimon For “Chic, C’est La Vie”

Everything I need to know I learned from a Countess LuAnn de Lesseps music video. Last year, we were taught that “Money Can’t Buy You Class.” And now in her new video for “Chic, C’est La Vie,” LuAnn has the following lessons to share: (a) saying a few French words makes you all the more fabulous, (b) diamonds are like, really important, and (c) every girl needs her besties—this time she has buddies Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon along to help her with the song. But the best part is when LuAnn tries to get philosophical. “Find your dreams within yourself and live with dignity/ Hair done, jewelry on, Oh mirror on the wall/ Beauty, class, and elegance fly within the soul.” Yeah, that almost rhymes. [Best Week Ever] Keep reading »

Real Housewives Channel “Sex And The City 2,” Offend In Morocco

Ramona Singer has not always been shown in the most positive light on “The Real Housewives of New York City.” So you know that if she lobbied producers to pull a scene from the show, it must’ve been really bad. In last night’s episode, the ladies were still on their group vacation in Morocco. which has been filled with drama from beginning to end. But we didn’t see a scene where Ramona “offended an entire country in five seconds,” according to a source. Ramona apparently put on a full burqa and did a dance, while making lewd gestures with a glass of Pinot Grigio. Well, LuAnn does awesomely refer to her strange mood swings “Pinot Polar Behavior.” Keep reading »

Joe Gorga Of “The Real Housewives Of New Jersey,” In Drag

Yesterday, we introduced you to our new favorite “Real Housewives” cast member, Joe Gorga, aka Teresa Giudice‘s younger brother. So far this season, he has been stealing scenes from both his sister and his wife, new housewife Melissa Gorga. Then came last night’s Halloween episode, in which Joe dressed up as … Snooki. “You’re really a Jersey chick now, honey. You look like your sister,” says Melissa watching him slink into a gold, leopard-print dress and put on a pouffy wig. Then Joe looks Melissa up and down and says, “I look better than you as a woman.” Classic. Keep reading »

Joe Gorga: The New Star Of “The Real Housewives Of New Jersey”

I was scared to watch the new season of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” sans Danielle Staub. I just didn’t think it could possibly be any fun without her and her delusional paranoia. Man, was I wrong. The first episode, which included a “West Side Story” style rumble at a Christening, made the episode where Staub’s weave got ripped out look like child’s play. And a new star emerged. Only he’s not a housewife — or even a woman for that matter. Keep reading »

Danielle Staub Signs A Contract With Scores

There was a moment on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” last year where Danielle Staub takes a few friends to a pole dancing class. The auspice of this activity was that she felt so violated about the release of her sex tape that she needed to do something to feel good again. She played shy at first, but as the scene progressed it became increasingly clear that Danielle was not at all feeling self-conscious or out-of-control of her sexuality. In fact, she took the opportunity to show of some of her former professional moves, including going spread eagle while staring down the male friends she brought to watch. “Always engage,” she said, taking over for the teacher, “And then suggest.” Shy? Please.

Well, apparently Danielle’s pole confidence has led to a new career. Danielle has now signed a three-year contract with Scores Gentleman’s Club in New York. Keep reading »

Brandi Glanville To Be The New “Real Housewife Of Beverly Hills”

Just as we find out that Hugh Grant came thisclose to signing on to replace Charlie Sheen on “Two and a Half Men” before coming to his senses and realizing that was his worst idea since getting into a car with Divine Brown, comes news of another television switcheroo. With Camille Grammar on the fence about whether to return for season two of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” the producers found themselves in a predicament. Camille kind of made the show, and not just because of her personality—because she was married to a famous actor and was going through a very public divorce. Luckily, they have found another lady to slip right into that slot. Brandi Glanville. As in, Eddie Cibrian‘s ex-wife who he divorced after falling in love with LeAnn Rimes while shooting a Lifetime movie. Keep reading »

Does A “Real Houswives Of New Jersey” Without Danielle Staub Smell As Sweet?

Mark your calendars for May 16, folks. That’s when “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” returns. Well, at least a few of them anyway—Dina Manzo called it quits midway through last season and our favorite skin suit wearer, Danielle Staub, was ousted after last season, too. But there are some new ladies filling in their slots. First there’s Melissa Gorga, who just happens to be Teresa Giudice‘s sister-in-law. Melissa is a mother of three who wants to be a pop star and has been recording tracks with producer Keith Boles. “It’s feel good music,” he explains. The second new housewife is Kathy Wakile, who happens to be Teresa’s cousin. Kathy is a mom of two and is super into throwing parties. Apparently, we have her daughter’s belly dancing themed Sweet 16 to look forward to.

But just because these new housewives are family doesn’t mean things are going to be all lovey dovey. Keep reading »

Bravo Officially Axes “The Real Housewives Of DC”

One of my New Year’s Resolutions for 2011 was to stop watching the “Real Housewives.” Between Orange County, New York, Atlanta, New Jersey, DC, Beverly Hills and Miami, it was just getting to be far too much of a time suck. Well, it looks like Bravo feels the same way. It’s not just Michaele and Tareq Salahi that they’ve evicted—they’re getting rid of the entire DC cast, making this the first “Real Housewives” franchise to be canceled. It’s not that the show didn’t get good ratings. Apparently, the higher ups at the network just felt that the cast was too uptight and not as fun as the others. Which—true! Keep reading »
