What Rumors Have Been Spread About You?

Rachel Bilson discussed her sinus issues that turned into a pregnancy rumor in Cleo magazine, but that wasn’t the first time a rumor was spread about her. I mean, how can it be? She’s a celebrity. But even before Rachel became famous, folks were lying about her. She also told Cleo: “When I was in primary school, people thought I stuffed my bra, because I was so tiny and I developed a little early. So that was the first untrue rumor.”

I wish I’d had that problem. Instead, the first rumor spread about me was by a teacher at my elementary school. Keep reading »

Quotable: Rachel Bilson Isn’t Pregnant — She Has A Sinus Infection!

“I thought that was hilarious; it was like, really? Where does this come from? I went to the doctors because I have sinus problems. I walk out and it was raining, so I had a big raincoat on – so [the tabloids] thought I was pregnant. And I was like, actually, I had Q-tips stuck up my nose ’cause I’m having sinus issues — if you wanna think I’m pregnant, then fine!”

Rachel Bilson’s Do-Gooding Involves Diamonds

Every celebrity seems to have a pet cause, and we have a hard time keeping track of who supports what and deciding which ones we’re going to contribute to on our non-star salaries. Take Rachel Bilson. She designed this bracelet to help support the Diamond Empowerment Fund, which works to educate and develop disadvantaged people in African nations where diamonds are a natural resource. Would we have chosen to donate money to that organization on our own? Probably not, but we had already imagined the bracelet becoming our new signature accessory when we found out that $20 from each sale goes to the foundation. Isn’t it nice when buying something you already wanted benefits other people? [Macy's via Luxist] Keep reading »

Which Of These Women Will Be The Mom On “How I Met Your Mother”?

How I Met Your Mother” has me a little confused. I’ve watched the show since the beginning and think it is one of the best sitcoms, evah. It’s laugh-out-loud funny and unpredictable (Who can forget Slapsgiving or Robin’s Canadian pop single, “Let’s Go To The Mall”?), and gets the late 20-something experience like no other show. Not to mention that Neil Patrick Harris as Barney is one of the funniest characters of all time. But, I digress. The premise of the show has been that Ted is narrating to his children how he met their mother. Only, fours years in, we still have no idea who she is. Earlier this year, the show’s executive producer PROMISED that in episode 100—airing this coming Monday—we would finally be introduced to this elusive mother. At the same time, it was leaked that Rachel Bilson was cast for a recurring role on the show. It made so much sense—Ted and Rachel, Rachel and Ted. They’re both brunette and would look adorable together. But now new casting news is messing everything up. Keep reading »

Do You Dress Up To Go Shopping?

Check out Rachel Bilson. She’s looking seriously put-together in her majah heels, chic black pants, fab Phillip Lim bag and pretty blow-out. (And her friend is looking adorable, too!) Where’s the party or red carpet, you ask? There isn’t one — she’s headed out for a day of shopping … looking so on top of her sartorial game. There isn’t a pair of tattered, L.A. cool jeans in sight! This reminds me of when I used to spend an entire Saturday shopping. Before hitting up, say, Barneys or Bergdorf’s to browse the racks, I’d spend a ridiculously absurd and laughable amount of time planning what I was going to wear. (Yep, all just to go shopping.) I had to look very put-together, but not like I was trying too hard. And while you may find this a colossal waste of time, I gotta point out that dressing up before shopping in fancy-pants stores really did get me better customer service from the sales floor staff (sad, but true!) and I just felt better about myself, even if I was just there to find a new pair of, say, gloves or something small. Do you ever do the same thing—seriously think long and hard about what to wear for a day of hitting the stores? Or can you just not be bothered? Keep reading »
