Check out Rachel Bilson. She’s looking seriously put-together in her majah heels, chic black pants, fab Phillip Lim bag and pretty blow-out. (And her friend is looking adorable, too!) Where’s the party or red carpet, you ask? There isn’t one—she’s headed out for a day of shopping ... looking so on top of her sartorial game. There isn’t a pair of tattered, L.A. cool jeans in sight! This reminds me of when I used to spend an entire Saturday shopping. Before hitting up, say, Barneys or Bergdorf’s to browse the racks, I’d spend a ridiculously absurd and laughable amount of time planning what I was going to wear. (Yep, all just to go shopping.) I had to look very put-together, but not like I was trying too hard. And while you may find this a colossal waste of time, I gotta point out that dressing up before shopping in fancy-pants stores really did get me better customer service from the sales floor staff (sad, but true!) and I just felt better about myself, even if I was just there to find a new pair of, say, gloves or something small. Do you ever do the same thing—seriously think long and hard about what to wear for a day of hitting the stores? Or can you just not be bothered?

Whoa, is Rachel Bilson indulging in some self-love in her shoot for Flaunt magazine’s November issue? To be frank, we would too, if we looked that hot.

This spread shows a side of the star that’s about as far from her sweet “O.C.”-girl personality as possible. We’re loving every shot, from a sultry pose in frilly lingerie to an adventurous Bilson in a leotard with a Catwoman vibe. Overall, not the most wearable styles (then again, what fashion magazine cares about that?), but an outfit with some zippered, rocker-esque pants does give us some inspiration. We’re all relieved that Rachel Bilson may soon get her jeans back—I just don’t know if she’ll want them now that they’ve been worn by someone else. We’re also glad that Paris Hilton has already picked up of big chunk of the $2 million-worth of jewelry stolen from her home. In September, we reported that 18-year-old Nicholas Prugo had been arrested on suspicion that he took part in the burglaries of Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Partridge’s cribs, and we speculated on how long before he turned in his well-accessorized conspirators. Well, now the jig is up for Prugo’s fantastically dressed teen gang. Four teens have been charged in the robberies, and police expect to charge three more.

“I really look up to a lot of my peers and how they dress. I love to admire other people. Ashley Olsen I think is great, Diane Kruger, Sienna Miller—all those people obviously have good style, so it’s nice to see that around you. Your peers surround you, and they all look good, so that’s great.”

We’ve waited patiently (SO PATIENTLY) for four years to find out who will be the titular mother on our fave sitcom, “How I Met Your Mother.” According to Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly, the show’s executive producer told him that episode #100 of the show would contain “some serious mother action.” He elaborated, “It’ll be the closest Ted’s ever come to her. He’s getting a step closer every episode this season, and episode 100 we kind of go bananas with it.” And guess who Ausiello has just discovered has been cast for a role in episode 100? The amazing Rachel Bilson. I’m jumping up and down because that’s so freaking adorable. [EW]

Sometimes we feel like Us Weekly‘s “The Fashion Police” and other similar style critics can be a tad harsh. Also, they tend to have these really boring, conservative styles and we have to wonder what their real fashion credentials are. (Case in point: US Weekly‘s “Top Cops” include random comedian Stefanie Novik and Chet Cannon of “The Real World, Brooklyn.” When did they ever go to design school!?) The Fashion Peacekeepers are here to say, hey, can’t everyone’s styles just get along?

So the Fashion Police have a bone to pick with Rachel Bilson, seen here attending the Salvatore Ferragamo fashion show in Milan, asking what’s up with this “funky dress” and dissing her “lace gloves.” Here’s where we stand on the matter: Bilson is a total hottie who can get away with fashion murder, and we think it’s refreshing to see a well-tailored suit that shows off her figure in a more subtle way, as opposed to the usual starlet in flashy strapless bondage dress look. The gloves are actually part of the sheer shirt she’s wearing underneath, and it looks edgy and modern to let longish shirt sleeves peep out from a jacket. In short, back off you prosecutors, this woman is innocent.

Yesterday we told you about The Gap’s new intern, Kanye West, who joins a long line of celebrities (temporarily) giving up their high-paying day jobs in order to learn something new from the ground up. All of this got me thinking about which celebs we’d like to have intern at The Frisky and what tasks we would give them. Fabulous clothes are as ubiquitous in Hollywood as headbands are on Blair Waldorf’s head. But Rachel Bilson has serious style — a lil’ somethin’ somethin’ above the norm. That’s why we’re bummed to hear that a robber broke into her L.A. home while she was on vacation and swiped a whole bunch of her jewelry and designer clothing, “including a trove of vintage shoes and her Chanel collection.”

Our condolences to Rachel, but how do we say this? This robber is after our own hearts. We would never go as far as breaking and entering, but we’ve definitely lusted after some of her recent drool-worthy outfits, like that teal dress. Here’s what we would have ganked had we been this thief.

When Rachel Bilson was out of town, her LA home was burgled. The thief raided the star’s closet, taking designer clothes, shoes, handbags, and jewelry, including items given to her by her grandmother. While the loss of her Chanel collection unfortunate, it’s the stealing of the jewelry that Rachel’s grandmother gave her that’s most heart-wrenching; it can’t be replaced.

That got me thinking: What clothing or accessory would I be most upset about if it got stolen? It would probably be a bracelet my parents gave me. While the item could be replaed, I would always know that it wasn’t the one they gave me.

Remember when Mischa Barton thought she was too good for “The O.C.” and left the show in order to pursue a movie career? Well, Mischa Barton movie star never materialized. In fact, the only noteworthy thing Mischa has achieved is her D.U.I. arrest in 2007. Okay, I’ll be fair and mention her fugly headband collection for Stacey Lapidus. Oh, and she hosted Blackbook‘s Hollywood party last night. Now, Mischa is returning to her TV roots by taking on the role of Sonja on “A Beautiful Life,” an upcoming CW drama about male and female models living together in New York City. Sonja is a veteran supermodel struggling to stay on top in the high fashion world, so she and Mischa have a lot in common. But Mischa isn’t the only “O.C.” alum who is struggling after leaving the show.

Scary Spice is a ‘fraidy cat. She’s starring in a Vegas burlesque show, but she won’t take her clothes off. Without the strip, she’s just a tease! Especially as a lingerie model who loves to get attention for her body, this seems like such a surprising decision. But she’s not the only celeb who thinks baring all is showing too much. Here’s a list of stars who agree with Melanie B and Janis from “The Muppets,” who famously said, “I won’t take my clothes off for anyone, even if it is artistic.”

We were a little surprised when we heard that Kristin Davis had decided to get into the fashion business, putting her name on a line of clothes for department store chain Belk. What would her line look like? Would there be pearls? Now we know the answer: No pearls; however, there are plenty of ladylike styles, and lots of bows. While we think $108 is a little expensive for a polyester shift dress, the Kristin Davis Collection might satiate your appetite for celebrity-branded clothes, especially if you missed out on picking up the best pieces from Rachel Bilson’s Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans. If not, Eva Mendes’ line of bedding, Vida, is coming to Macy’s any time now. We’re gonna take a wild guess that her sex life is pretty enviable, and here’s to hoping that a set of her sheets will emit some of her sexual energy into our bedroom.

So, last night I went home, took my dog for a pathetic 30 minute run, came home and made leftover tacos for dinner, and watched another thrilling episode of Hell’s Kitchen. The ten celebrity ladies after the jump had almost as awesome a night as I did—they were either dressed to the nines at the Crystal & Lucy Awards in LA or at the Whitney Art Party in New York.
