Amy Winehouse has come out of “hiatus” to spawn a new single, “It’s My Party.” The track was produced by Mark Ronson, and it’s a cover of Lesley Gore’s 1963 track of the same name. So … how does it sound? Well, I’ll let you be the judge. To me, it sounds, and I hate to say this, slurry. Musically, it’s nothing new: Motown redux. Vocally, it’s kind of sad. Did Quincy Jones have a good relationship with Michael Jackson before his death? It seems debatable judging from his interview with Men.Style.com. The legendary music producer, who has been close with Jackson for several decades, sounds eerily unemotional about the icon’s death.
