New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg doesn’t want anyone in this city to have any fun. First, he banned smoking in bars, then trans-fats, then he made all chain restaurants post the number of calories in each item, so that you can’t order the chips and guacamole at Chipotle in peace. Now, the New York Department of Health is taking on soda in these uber-gross PSA ads that show oozing, dripping fat being poured out of soda bottles before people take a swig. Seriously stomach-turning. Do you think these ads have a point, or do we have bigger fish to fry than folks having a can of Dr. Pepper when they want? Keep reading »

Disgusting PSA Tell British People To Clean Up After Their Dogs

Displayed at UK bus stops, this campaign by the Torbay Council warns dog owners to clean up after their animals. Those who don’t comply will face a hefty fine. Sure, the ad’s message is good but, um, EWWWWWWW! That child appears to be playing in and eating a giant pile of dog poo because, because as the ad claims, “Children will put anything in their mouths.” C’mon guys, give kids some credit. Bristol Palin and OctoMom take note! The UK’s National Health Service is using scare tactics to prevent teen pregnancy. This public service announcement doesn’t make a ton of sense, but it’s disturbing. Screaming children run across a playground, crowd around one girl, and suddenly a baby’s head pops out from between her legs. The camera is “Blair Witch Project” shaky. Happy STD Awareness Month! “VD is for Everybody” is a public service announcement from way back in the day. In case you’re not aware, VD is short for venereal diseases, which is what they called STDs before the 1990s. In the video, you learn that ballet dancers, equestrians, violinists, pregnant women who knit, and men who jog in gray sweat suits are all capable of getting VD, because “VD is for everybody, not just boys or girls.” Watch and learn.
