Leather, Lace And A Torn Proenza In Chloe Sevigny’s Closet

Chloe on Accessories
Fake Chloe takes us through her accessory collection. Read More »

In honor of the launch of her new collection with Opening Ceremony, Chloe Sevigny opened the doors of her home–and her closet–and gave us a peek into what she wears. Starting off with a vintage shot of herself with Kate Moss, Chloe spares no embarrassing corner–including showing us a custom-made Proenza Schouler dress she wore to the 2010 Met Costume Institute Ball, tore up and has yet to repair. Stars, they’re lazy just like us! [Fashionista]

Harmony Korine Creeps Out Proenza Schouler’s New Collection

You certainly don’t hire writer/director/auteur Harmony Korine to do “normal” stuff. In fact, Korine probably hasn’t been acquainted with “normal” for quite some time. So it’s no surprise that his new short film “Snowballs,” made for Proenza Schouler’s Spring 2012 collection, is pretty batcrackers. While there’s nothing overtly NSFW about it, it is a touch creepy and pervy, with two models playing mute, costumed “trouble twins” who encounter a rather disturbing old man character with “magic” fingers. It’ll probably make you feel icky inside.

Runway Police: Hair Way, Way Down There?

Checking out those crazy shoes? Now just look up a bit, a bit more … ahh! The offender! Hippie hair on model legs! Normally, we’d shrug and say your choice (maybe not the wisest one for your profession) to those who prefer to grow it rather than mow it, but this was spotted at the Proenza Schouler runway show at New York Fashion Week, where the freshly-waxed legs of models shine like the top of the Chrysler Building. On purpose or laziness? Yesterday we discussed the all-bare bikini area trend, so maybe the opposite is now going for legs. It’s so hard to keep up.

We’re not sure—this insider-y snap was the only evidence we could find. Many of the other Proenza Schouler models sported tights. However, the collection did happen to have quite a few feather and fringe details. Artistic compatibility? [FashionIndie.com] Keep reading »

Love Nest: Is That Chair Proenza Schouler?

Attention, Proenza fans: Fashion It duo Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough have come out with a textile collection for interiors mega-company Knoll that’s dark and dramatic—and mostly, it seems, inspired by their past collections. Think rich jewel tones, a range of neutrals, classic damask, plus a handful of other patterns and the Proenza favorite color combo of navy and black. Knoll doesn’t list prices, but I have to assume their textiles, like their collection, don’t come cheap. Still, do we like? [Knoll via Domicidal Maniac] Keep reading »
