I have this theory that Keira Knightley plays the same character in nearly every movie and gets lauded by critics as if she’s reinvented the wheel every time. With the exception of films like Domino, The Jacket, and Love Actually, Knightley is always cast a period film heroine from an upper-crust family who slums it with a poor guy or wins the heart of a rich cad. To prove my theory, I’ve assembled pictures of six of Keira’s most famous characters. See if you can match the letter of the image to the number of the film. Keep your Sunday nights open for the next four months, as you have dates with Mr. Darcy, Henry Tilney, and all of the other dashing gentlemen from Jane Austen’s books. Starting last week (Sorry, you’ll have to rent Persuasion to catch up.), PBS began airing an Austen movie every Sunday at 9:30 p.m. EST, and that will continue until early April.
