Nobody does high fashion swagger like Victoria Beckham. Seriously, the entire world is this woman’s runway, and the rest of us are but frumpily dressed spectators. Exhibit A: here’s Posh walk-walking (fashion baby!) through LAX yesterday. Not sure why that guy in the background isn’t bowing down to her fierceness, but he would be if he knew what was good for him. [Photo: Fame/Flynet] Keep reading »

Earlier this week, Victoria Beckham kindly put us all in our place by posting a photo of her dog Harry wearing one of her dresses. A dress that I definitely can’t afford. Harry was apparently being treated to a dress fitting because he suffered through getting his teeth cleaned. I wonder what Vicky does for David when he goes to the dentist. [Twitter]
We like David Beckham. A lot. His personality? Who cares? We just like to gaze upon him adoringly. And we especially like this wet, sexy, abtastic shot of Mr. Posh Spice on the cover of the new Elle UK. He’s the first man to ever go solo on the cover of the mag, so they did two versions — the one just for subscribers is posted after the jump. We’re particularly fond of this “dripping wet hunk/junk shot,” but which do you prefer?
- Victoria Beckham, a lady not known for her enjoyment of carbs, says that she represents the “average woman” when it comes to styling and sizing her clothing line. ‘We always joke that we have this fabulously gorgeous 17-year-old model who is six-foot-whatever and then I say “OK, I’m going to put it on,’” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “I stand for the general public here.” That quote is perhaps unintentionally the most prescient, spot-on analysis of warped body ideals that anyone could have made. - Michelle Duggar, the extremely fertile mom from “19 Kids & Counting,” explains why overpopulation is not a problem. This should be rich. [Evil Beet Gossip]
- Julianne Moore and Scarlett Johannsson are teaming up for Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut about a guy trying hard to be less of a dick. We’re so there. [Variety]
- Gwyneth Paltrow may have penned her cookbook herself, dammit (despite claims to the contrary by the New York Times), but plenty of other famous authors actually have used ghostwriters. Here’s just 10 of ‘em. [Flavorwire]

It’s the only time you’ll see Victoria Beckham not wearing five-and-a-half-inch heels, so of course it’s a cartoon. Posh Spice lent her voice to her kids’ favorite TV show, “SpongeBob Square Pants” as the mermaid, Queen Amphitrite.
Poor, poor Paula Abdul. Her time with “American Idol” has been over for barely 24 hours and the media could not wait to move on. The big announcement that Posh Spice will be making a guest-judge appearance is completely overshadowing the sadness of the Abdul-“Idol” split. I can’t help but give into the media frenzy and be super excited about Posh’s appearance, since it’s going to be totally awesome. Alas, it’s only temporary—for a single show. So I wonder, Who are they going to replace Paula with permanently? I guess there’s the chance that the judging panel will shrink down to three with Kara DioGuardi being the only lady in the pack. But I want someone new! Here’s who I think would make snug fits on the “American Idol” season nine judging panel. Keep reading »
Posh Spice Victoria Beckham may or may not be in the upcoming Sex and the City sequel. Ohmygod. Intel on this rumor remains fairly vague, so we can’t tell you much beyond the whisperings that she’ll be playing a fashion industry figure if she does, indeed, make an appearance. But lest we leave you hanging entirely, let’s engage in some wild speculation as to what various roles she might play. Fun, right? [Elle UK] Keep reading »
Posh dressed the part in “bedhead chic,” promoting her lingerie line for Emporio Armani. It’s a less polished look than we’re used to with her, but if Posh says not brushing is in, not brushing is in. [NYC, 5/6/09] Keep reading »
