Introducing the “summer poncho,” a design brought to you by Glamourpuss, socialite Gigi Mortimer’s clothing line. While some (us, perhaps) might glance at this and call it a caftan (standard beach cover-up), the garment is definitely meant to be the lightweight translation of the poncho jacket. Explains Mortimer, “We designed it as a warm-weather alternative to our original fur funnel.” The summer fashion concept was enough to catch Vogue‘s attention, which means either a) there’s something to this, or b) some magazine editors needed filler and/or began running out of new ways to spin style.
