Naomi Watts looked like a picture of preppy perfection while running errands in Beverly Hills the other day in a polka dot blouse, sweater vest, and loafers. Want to steal her style for yourself? We’ve got all the pieces (for 70 bucks or less!) after the jump… Keep reading »
My boyfriend is a stylish dude. He works in fashion and he dresses like a total dandy. As such, I have very little sense of what is normal guy fashion. Like, take this Mike Ruiz for J.Cheikh blazer. I think it’s amazing, and I’d be stoked if my boyfriend had the balls to wear something like that. But maybe it’s not for everyone. What’s your take? Do you appreciate it when guys take more fashion risks?
I love me some Rosario Dawson–she’s smart, talented, beautiful, and a proud feminist. Dream girl status. This fabulous outfit she wore out and about in New York earlier this week is pretty perfect too: the head-to-toe black is undeniably cool, but sweet details like polka dots and a mini bag keep it from being too serious. Steal her style, after the jump! Keep reading »
I love Isla Fisher. I love her sense of humor and her red hair and the fact that she can talk about tea bagging on a morning news program and it’s inexplicably charming. And I love this tan polka dot dress she wore to take her adorable daughters Olive (in a coordinating polka dot shirt) and Elula to the farmers’ market this weekend. So simple, so cute. I need to find myself a dress like this, stat. [Photo: Fame/Flynet]
Model/presenter Alexa Chung was all polka dots and bangs last week’s launch of the W Hotel’s new “Four Stories” Film Series. Chung always looks good, but we especially like how this outfit manages to so chicly combat the mind-blowingly disgusting NYC humidity. After the jump, we give you everything necessary to pull off Chung’s cool look.

I am the nation’s foremost appreciator of polka dots, so much so that when Julie once wore a polka dot dress to work I yelled at her not to gank my style. I’ll reclaim my rightful place on the throne with these adorable black-and-white flats from Old Navy! The price tag is easy on my budget and they’ll be easy to dress up or down. Now, if I can just keep from stepping in the mud in white shoes … [$24.94, Old Navy]
We’ve long been obsessed with the life and art of Yayoi Kusama, the Japanese artist who has obsessively made polka dot art for the last forty years. It seems Louis Vuitton shares our interest — and has released images of its collection inspired by Kusama.
Sadly, the collection is only available in a few choice spots — it pops up in Louis Vuitton’s NYC store starting tomorrow, and can also be found at Printemps flagship in Paris and Selfridges in London.
A second collection of Kusama-inspired pieces, based on her “nerves” work, will be out this fall.
Our favorite look might be the clear polka-dotted raincoats. What about you? [Fashion Indie]
Polka dots! So cute! So spring-like! So much verve and personality! Wear ‘em, okay? They’ll perk you right up. After the jump, 10 polka-perfect options.
Generally, Taylor Swift’s style isn’t really my thing. She’s very girly and while I like girly touches, I like a little bit of edge. So I surprised myself when I saw these photos of Taylor and thought, Dang, I totally want to steal that look. Actually, this is a look I think would look adorable on Jessica, who does generally favor a more girly sense of style. I like the retro touches, while the red lips and cat-eye sunglasses have a tiny dose of bad girl edge. Check out how to get the look after the jump! Keep reading »
