Move over, Monica Lewinsky, there’s a new scandalous teen intern in town. Okay, so Mimi Alford’s alleged affair with a president — John F. Kennedy — occured more than 40 years ago, but that doesn’t make it any less salacious. According to her new memoir, Once Upon a Secret: My Affair with President John F. Kennedy and Its Aftermath, Alford, now 69, had an affair with the president when she was just 18. She claims just four days into her Press Office internship, she was invited to go for a swim in the White House pool. With the president.* And that’s when the notorious womanizer pounced.

Even though Tipper and Al Gore are ending their 40-year marriage, Tipper is refusing to jump on the Al mud-slinging bandwagon. She is standing by her (ex) man, publicly saying that she thinks masseuse Molly Hagerty’s claims that Al sexually assaulted her are bogus. She’s also refuting other accusations that Al had relations with the butcher, the baker, and the candlestick maker—aka a cheerleader, a Hollywood producer, and Laurie David. Keep reading »
It’s been a week since the National Enquirer ran a story saying that Al Gore had forced “unwanted sexual contact” on a masseuse in a Portland hotel room in 2006, and subjected us to the gorey (ha!) details of the alleged incident. Now that the Portland police has decided to reopen the investigation, the Gore camp has finally issued a statement. “Further investigation into this matter will only benefit Mr. Gore,” said a family spokesperson. “The Gores cannot comment on every defamatory, misleading and inaccurate story generated by tabloids. Mr. Gore unequivocally and emphatically denied this accusation when he first learned of its existence three years ago. He stands by that denial.” Keep reading »
Yesterday on “Oprah,” Andrew and Cheri Young continued their “Ratting Out John Edwards
” book tour of doom, discussing everything from why they agreed to lie for the former-Senator/Presidential candidate, how Edwards has changed since 2004, and, of course, that infamous sex tape. In the clip above, Cheri seems super, well, psyched to give away some details, but stops short of saying anything really juicy — aside from the fact that Rielle was holding the camera in the vid, and Edwards knew
he was being taped. Call me nuts, but my dirty, nosey mind wants more specifics on those sex acts. But I’m a perv. Keep reading »
I don’t even have time to list all the politicians who’ve been caught having affairs in recent years. But at least Mark Sanford and John Edwards had the good sense not to talk about their dalliances on tape. California State Assemblyman Mike Duvall, a self-stated “family values warrior” who recently won the Ethics in America award, forgot that he was wearing a microphone when, before an assembly meeting, he dished all the dirty deets of his affair(s) to an assembly buddy. “I’ve been getting into spanking her,” he said on the recording. “I like it!” [CNN]

Even Joe the Plumber can’t help her now! Sarah Palin has been slapped with her eighteenth ethics complaint.
