My mom never had a collection of Playgirl magazines. Thank God! The idea that she once got off to Burt Reynolds’ mustachioed mug would be too much for me to handle. But we know Burt, Mark Harmon (who?), and other ’70s and ’80s studs graced the covers of Playgirl during the mag’s hey-day and they’re lovingly collected on a bitchin’ new — mostly-SFW — Tumblr called Let Them Eat Beefcake. As mesmerizing as those cheesy ‘staches are, I love the articles touted on the cover of the 1977 “Special Valentine’s Issue,” like “The 60-Second Period” and “The Boy-Rapist Next Door.” Beefcakes, like cheesy reading, truly never go out of style! It’s time to play another round of “How much would Playgirl pay famous dudes to take their clothes off?” Last time we talked, Vinny of “Jersey Shore” got an offer for $30K, which doesn’t stack up to the $100K that Levi Johnston supposedly netted from the mag. Now, Playgirl is after the men of “Glee.” But not just any “Glee” stud—they want Chord Overstreet (Sam) or Mark Salling (Puck). They’d pass on Cory Monteith (Finn) or Matthew Morrison (Mr. Schuester). A rep for the mag said they would offer Chord and Mark $100K each for a shoot, and assured them it wouldn’t even have to be X-rated. Keep reading »

When Snooki hooked up with Vinny on “Jersey Shore,” she let us know that he is packing some heat below the belt. To be specific, she said that smushing with him was like “putting a watermelon in a pinhole.” Apparently, Playgirl was listening because they’ve offered Vinny Guadagnino $30,000 to pose nude for their magazine. Apparently, Clone-a-Willy.com—which is owned by Playgirl—has also offered to make a replica of his nether regions. [NY Daily News]

Last night on “The Joy Behar Show,” host Behar asked her guest, Levi Johnston, how he feels about being a gay icon. “You come from a conservative background and Alaska’s not the most liberal state,” she said, “and yet, you seem to be very comfortable being a gay icon.”

Levi Johnston’s Playgirl Shoot Reveals His “Eww, Gross!” Body Hair

Poor Levi Johnston. He’s fending off complaints from those (us included) who are disappointed he didn’t show the full monty in his Playgirl pictorial, and now he has to contend with insults about the amount of body hair he has. Nathan Minor, a Chippendales dancer (so he obviously knows what’s manly and sexy), told Us Weekly:

“The only problem — his hairy armpits! We take only mostly shaved guys. He should also focus on his diet to help him get a bit harder. He doesn’t have to go the fitness-y hard look, but he could tighten up a little bit. His body is a little soft.”
