George R. R. Martin has announced a new book about Lord Tyrion called, The Wit And Wisdom Of Lord Tyrion. According to BookSeller.com, “The hardback title will gather together ‘clever and naughty quips’ from the popular character from A Song of Ice and Fire series, played in the HBO series by actor Peter Dinklage.” I don’t know if we need an entire compilation of Lord Tyrion’s quotes when we all have Google and are absolutely obsessed with the show but, hey, why not? In case you were wondering what kind of “wit and wisdom” you might find in the new book, we’ve rounded up the 10 best Lord Tyrion quotes to get you in the mood for some “half-man sass.” Read more on College Candy…
Whoa, TV passions collide! While hanging out at Calgary Comic-Con, my BFF, “The Walking Dead”‘s Norman Reedus (When are we getting those tacos, boo? Call me!) made a fan pic with “Game Of Thrones”‘ Cersei and Tyrion Lannister even more nerdtastic by jumping in with a middle finger photobomb. Dream life status all up in this pic. [Uproxx]
“It is unacceptable that animals continue to suffer around the world, including the United States of America, for the sake of beauty. I appeal to the USA to follow the European Union’s lead and end animal testing for cosmetics.”
– Peter Dinklagel, aka Tyrion Lannister, spoke out in support of ending the testing of cosmetics on animals. Dink, who’s been a vegetarian since he was 16, teamed up with Cruelty Free International to help support the measure. The ban is already in place in the European Union, and Dinklage, along with fellow CFI spokespeople Ricky Gervais and Joss Stone, are hoping to get a similiar bill passed in the United States. Or more specifically, as Drunk Uncle’s brother-in-law Peter Drunklage, who is arguably the drunkest of them all. Kids these days don’t even wear garters anymore. And all they care about is “Tumblr me, Tumblr me.” As for his Tumblr blog? Full of regret. Marco? Rubio! Amazing.
Yesterday, Amelia and I went to the traveling “Game of Thrones” exhibition, because we are queen nerds who love nerding out about Khaleesi, Jon Snow, Cersei and the rest of the gang. The “GoT” exhibit’s made a major splash in NYC, with people lining up down the street and around the block for the chance to sit upon the Iron Throne. Amelia and I are super impatient, so I called up the exhibit’s organizers and got press passes so we could cut the line. After today, the collection goes to Sao Paulo, Brazil; Amsterdam, The Netherlands; and Belfast, Ireland, so if you’re in any of those spots, check it out. If not, we’ve got five important tidbits we learned during our visit…

“Game of Thrones” has been on hiatus for far too long. We need a little hit of Peter Dinklage to get us through until the series returns on March 31. Here he is, walking his beautiful pup (named Kevin!) in New York City. Let’s hope Cersei doesn’t catch him off his watch. [Photo: Pacific Coast News]
Spotted somewhere in London, this amazing mural of Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister in “Game of Thrones,” done in the style of artist Shepard Fairey. Um, if anyone has any more details on this mural and, like, whether there are T-shirts or posters for sale, EMAIL ME. Dink 4 Ever. Speaking of Tyrion, check out an awesome video of his best moments from season two after the jump. [Facebook: Being A Geek] Keep reading »
It’s not that I have a thing, as it were, for little people. And, God, is that really the politically correct term? Are we serious about this? It’s not that I have some sort of fetish or something. But Peter Dinklage is hot. And I said it long before he was pn “Game of Thrones.”
I said it when I saw “The Station Agent,” back in the day, before college, even, when I went to see the flick with my lame boyfriend, and Peter Dinklage was so much hotter than him. And had so much more gravitas. And so much more charisma. And such a look of gentle weariness in his noble, manly eyes.
So when he showed up again, in “Game of Thrones,” I was willing to watch, despite all the casual rape and beheading and ripping out of throats and other body parts that no one should ever rip out. Keep reading »
