I’m not 100 percent crazy about PETA — a lot of their advertising and marketing employs sexist tactics in order to promote their pro-animal message. That said, their latest move — to single out Kim Kardashian and Janet Jackson for their pro-fur lifestyles — might not be a bad move. The animal rights organization awarded the two celebs the “Celebrity Grinch Award” for wearing and promoting animal fur.
PETA knows how to raise eyebrows. The animal rights group’s memorable campaigns have entailed everything from celebrities posing nude for its anti-fur campaign to scantily clad women having an erotic moment with their vegetables to support veganism.
Now, PETA has pulled out all of the stops with a XXX porn site for its next clever marketing endeavor, reports The Register.
PETA confirmed the XXX site in a phone interview with The Huffington Post.
“We live in a 24 hour news cycle world and we learn the racy things we do are sometimes the most effective way that we can reach particular individuals,” said PETA spokeswoman Lindsay Rajt. Read more… Keep reading »

For 10 years now, PETA has crowned one man and one woman as the Sexiest Vegetarians of the Year. And for their decade-iversary, the organization has chosen two of my favorite celebrities for the honor—Russell Brand and Kristen Wiig. Brand has apparently been a vegetarian since age 14 and when asked recently by Kelly Ripa if he took a fish oil supplement said, “I’m vegetarian. I think it’s cruel to squeeze oil out of a fish. Cause they’re lovely little guys, aren’t they?” Meanwhile, Kristen credits her vegetarian diet with her rockin’ body. I’d like to offer a meat-free congratulations to Russell and Kristen, who will be succeeding the honor from Olivia Wilde and Cobra Starship’s frontman Gabe Saporta last year and Kellie Pickler and Milo Ventigmiglia the year before that. Airports in New York, Las Vegas and Charlotte, North Carolina, have said “no” to a proposed PETA ad campaign of a skinny woman’s physique under a body scan X-ray with the words, “Be proud of your body scan: go vegan.” (The Vegas airport claimed they don’t post “political” ads.)
