Last night, Tiffany’s held a party hosted by photographers Scott Schuman and Garance Dore. The party was DJed by Beyonce’s little sister Solange. So far, sounds like every other semi-famous people party, right? Well, except that the PR company that put on the event — some company called Epic Group — was apparently a mite bit concerned that the soiree would be too packed. It would seem that Surrealist artist Salvador Dali and Bob Hope wouldn’t travel in the same circles, but oh no, they do! Mr. Hope was once invited to a party at Dali’s house themed around guest’s worst nightmares. We’re guessing Hope’s worst nightmare was probably being at a Surrealist party, because the comedian appears none too thrilled in this news reel footage of the event. It’s holiday time again, which for me means lots of parties to go to … solo. Over the weekend I threw a big birthday bash for my husband’s 40th. It was the third party we’ve thrown in the last year — not counting small dinner parties — and about the tenth or so since I moved in almost three years ago, so I like to think I’ve learned a thing or two about being a good hostess.
