It’s never too early to start planning your New Year’s Eve outfit! I’m all about this festive top with sequins and glittery details that’s exclusively on OldNavy.com. With three different color choices, you can find the one that goes with your current crop of cardigans best! It’ll look adorable with jeans or a miniskirt and it’s not hella cleavage-revealing, either. I might just buy it in pink and recycle my outfit on Valentine’s Day. Shh, don’t tell anyone. I am the nation’s foremost appreciator of polka dots, so much so that when Julie once wore a polka dot dress to work I yelled at her not to gank my style. I’ll reclaim my rightful place on the throne with these adorable black-and-white flats from Old Navy! The price tag is easy on my budget and they’ll be easy to dress up or down. Now, if I can just keep from stepping in the mud in white shoes … [$24.94, Old Navy]

Jordan Knight Sings The Old Navy Summer Catalog

Jordan's Got The Right Stuff For Old Navy!

These days, instead of hangin’ tough with his boys from New Kids On The Block, Jordan Knight has the right stuff for Old Navy’s summer campaign. The boy band singer is featured in the brand’s latest ad, singing about items from their summer catalog. On “Shorts,” he croons, “Your legs are looking so fine,” while his falsetto hits as many high notes as there are sandal colors on “Flip-Flops.” Watch the commercial above! Meanwhile, fans are showing their love for the songs on the Old Navy Facebook page, where you can hear Jordan sing about the difference between T-shirts and tank tops. Keep reading »

Once upon a time, I accidentally gave my email address to The Gap or Banana Republic or Old Navy or some other company vaguely related to those companies, and within a few days my entire inbox was full of really enthusiastic emails about sales and free shipping and new sweaters in stock. I enjoy shopping at all of these stores and do so frequently, but my god, if I wanted to actually read all the emails they send me I would have to quit my job. Sometimes I imagine replying to these emails and telling them how I really feel. This is what that conversation would look like…

Old Navy Gets A Failing Grammar Grade

Old Navy wanted to create a line of sports-enthused tees to pander to fans of virtually any team. So they partnered with SuperFan Nation to create a line of more than 70 tees representing colleges from across the United States. Sounds like a wise marketing move. Except Old Navy made the fatal mistake of not proofreading their T-shirts before sending them into production. Notice anything a bit off about the spirited “Lets Go Dawgs” and “Lets Go Rebels” shirts posted above? Oh that’s right. The shirts are missing an apostrophe on “let’s.” The clothing retailer wouldn’t say whether it bothered going to each university to gain logo approval, but it’s safe to say somebody really dropped the ball. In the meantime, if you’d like to grab a special grammatically incorrect version of your school’s team shirt, act fast. “To ensure Old Navy customers can enjoy this collection fully,” said a statement from the company, “we’re replacing the faulty Ts at our stores and online as soon as possible.” [Daily Mail UK] Keep reading »

Reggie Bush’s New Girlfriend Is A Kim Kardashian Look-A-Like

Having a type is one thing. I mean, there are a zillion celebs out there whose new beaus physically resemble their exes. But Reggie Bush has taken things to the next level. As Kim Kardashian plans her televised wedding to Kris Humphries, Reggie has a new lady of his own—model Melissa Molinaro. And she doesn’t just resemble Kim. She is that girl from the Old Navy commercial who impersonated Kim and did such a good job that many people actually thought it was her. Keep reading »

Old Navy Ad Pokes Fun At Men’s High Fashion

Old Navy ads are usually a bit grating, what with their aggressive musical numbers about sundresses and those obnoxious talking mannequins. But this new one is pretty amazing. In it, male models pose in a bunch of bizarre situations—whilst carrying a sheep, whilst screaming on a couch wearing a vicar’s cap, whilst twirling in a baroque living room—as they whisper the words “Supår Tool” over and over again. Until the slogan “Dress like a man” appears on screen. Oh how, this makes me want to watch “Zoolander,” stat. Keep reading »

Quickies: Kara DioGuardi Ate Six Pot Brownies At Once & Check Out Old Navy’s Gay Pride Tee Shirts!

  • Kara DioGuardi once ate six pot brownies at Paula Abdul’s house (brought by a friend of Paula’s, she claims!) and got so high she fell out of bed and had to be taken to the hospital, she told “Lopez Tonight.” Yikes. DioGuardi had some terrifying hallucinations from all that THC and needed I.V.s to help her get through them. Poor thing! [New York Daily News]
  • Jennifer Aniston might commission “a huge portrait” of her dog, Norman, who recently died. Hey, if she’s got the money to spend on it, why not? And as someone who recently lost a family dog, I can understand the sentiment. [Gossip Cop]
  • California’s Attorney General will investigate whether Arnold Schwarzenegger misused state funds on his mistress(es). Let’s hope not. [PopEater]
  • There will be a new HGTV show called “Our Yard Went Disney,” about people who make their backyards look like Disney themeparks, and it looks terrifying. [The Mary Sue]

Style Stealer: Ruffle Detail Red Coat

Both Kristin Cavallari and AnnaLynne McCord are rocking this bright-red Old Navy jacket in their own way. Bill Blass and our very own Winona are huge proponents of red and these two celebs show how amazingly one piece can be dressed for a night out or kept casual with slim trousers and ballet flats. The reason this coat works both ways — the ruffle and black button details, which elevate the coat from “OK” to “incredible.” Get your very own, for a very affordable price. Get The Look: In The Navy

With all of the trends that last five whole seconds, it’s nice to see a designer working with classic color and creating something totally fresh. Giorgio Armani’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection was a sea of navy in many different shades and textures. He mixed chiffon and lace with patent leather, crochet, satin and twill. It is such a wonderfully refined way to subtly play with silhouette that we decided to use one of his looks as inspiration for an outfit you can wear this season. A great thing about a look like this is all of the pieces are ones that can be worn in a myriad of ways. Plus, you probably have half of these garments in your closet already so it will be really easy to reproduce. Don’t like navy? Try this styling idea in browns or grays, using texture and opacity to create interest.
