It’s almost Christmas, with less than two weeks left in 2011, and I am feeling very grateful. Thankful for my friends, my family, the Frisky community, and, perhaps most important, the plethora of fine ass, rockin’ abs, bountiful titties, and full-frontal dudes that have graced the screen this year. Here are my pics for the best topless, bottomless, and totally nekkid scenes of 2011.
“Immortals” hit theaters today, and in addition to excess male eye-candy and a lackluster plotline, we get to see Freida Pinto’s booty in a steamy scene with Henry Cavill … or at least what appears to be her booty. “It was a butt double. I’m relieved I don’t have to deal with that issue,” she told E! Online. [Just Jared]
Pinto is not alone, be it by choice of morals or vanity, famous stars have opted for body doubles in nude scenes for years. Find out which glorified forms aren’t as authentic as they appear to be.
“There is that revoltingly embarrassing moment when you have to take your clothes off in front of strangers. I mean, I don’t go to the beach in a bikini for a reason. So I thought, ‘Okay, I’m going to be in control. I’m going to do everything properly, disrobe at the last minute, and in between shots get the clothes back on.’ But then I found that every time I put my robe back on, it rubbed all the body makeup off, and that added 20 minutes to filming. As with all things in life, the second you stop making it about you and you make it about everyone else, it just got, dare I say, fun.”

“The movie, I think, is gonna be great because Sarah Polley is incredible. But my body? In all honesty, I would say it’s a lot closer to Kathy Bates in ‘About Schmidt’ than, like, Julianne Moore in ‘Short Cuts.’ I am begging you to lower your expectations! … I’ll tell you what you can expect: a Cream of Wheat–ish texture on the upper thighs, from knee to belly button, I would say in all honesty. And a misshapen upper thigh that actually is not misshapen because there’s probably more like it than not, but it doesn’t look good in jeans.”

“I don’t want a sock around it, that feels ridiculous. If we’re naked in the scene, then I’m naked. I’ve always been that way.”

“I’ve never had a problem with nudity, but I don’t put it out there without a reason. I’m not an exhibitionist. But, honestly, for my art I’ll do anything almost. I’ll go there. I know I walk a fine line between being a respected actor and being what they call a sex symbol. But I’ve never felt objectified. Nothing you see me do is an accident. I might act like it’s an accident but the opposite is true. I’m incredibly calculated when it comes to my career.”

Scary Spice is a ‘fraidy cat. She’s starring in a Vegas burlesque show, but she won’t take her clothes off. Without the strip, she’s just a tease! Especially as a lingerie model who loves to get attention for her body, this seems like such a surprising decision. But she’s not the only celeb who thinks baring all is showing too much. Here’s a list of stars who agree with Melanie B and Janis from “The Muppets,” who famously said, “I won’t take my clothes off for anyone, even if it is artistic.”

Nudity expert Mr. Skin complied a list of celebrity ladies who took it all off in the name of their art this past year. From Angelina Jolie to Mena Suvari, there were some choice bare babes, but 2008 didn’t slight the men either. There was a whole lot of manhood captured for movies and even network television.
