No, Nicole Kidman, no! The other night, Nicole’s under-eye makeup was a bit too aggressively light in tone. I feel for her, under-eye makeup is one of the hardest things to get right—it’s either too dark, too light, too much, not enough. And seeing as though we are smack in the middle of holiday going-out (and thus holiday hangover) days and nights, I figured what better time to pass along a few nuggets of concealer wisdom?

Sometimes we feel like Us Weekly‘s “The Fashion Police” and other similar style critics can be a tad harsh. Also, they tend to have these really boring, conservative styles and we have to wonder what their real fashion credentials are. (Case in point: US Weekly‘s “Top Cops” include random comedian Stefanie Novik and Chet Cannon of “The Real World, Brooklyn.” When did they ever go to design school!?) The Fashion Peacekeepers are here to say, hey, can’t everyone’s styles just get along?

Another day, another “Nine” premiere. With so many starlets cast in the film—Kate Hudson, Penelope Cruz and Fergie, to name a few—there are bound to be some mighty interesting red carpet moments as the ladies promote the movie around the world. But last night in Hollywood, Nicole Kidman really turned The Fashion Peacekeepers’ heads. Hmm ... let’s just focus on the positive here. The color is semi-flattering ... it certainly fits well. She looks happy wearing it, and as Amelia put it, “She’ll look awfully chic when she’s a granny.” So there’s that. Anyone care to weigh in?

Check out Christina Hendricks and Nicole Kidman, two of Hollywood’s more famous redheads. Now, look at their red, red lips. What do you think; do the red lip shades they choose work with their red hair? The jury is still out for me on Christina. (What do you think? Does it work?) But I think Nicole nailed this particular redhead/red-lipstick moment. I’m sure you’ve heard at some point the old idea that redheads can’t wear red anything (lipstick, dresses, etc.), but it’s actually total crap. What does apply to red lips and red hair is also the same rule that goes for wearing makeup of any kind, across the board—you have to take into consideration your skin tone, hair color and feature shapes. How does Nicole get her red lip so right?

Yesterday, we shared Nicole Kidman‘s revelation that she’s gotten kinky in the past and “explored strange sexual fetish stuff.” Now curiosity has gotten the better of us and we are dying to figure out what Nicole’s fetishes are. For the November issue of Vogue, Anna and Co. rounded up the female stars of the upcoming movie musical “Nine.” Four of them—Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, and Kate Hudson—are on the cover together, but the overly airbrushed shot makes it oh-so-obvious that photographer Annie Liebovitz shot them separately and spliced them together in Photoshop. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are reportedly donezo. Though nothing has been officially confirmed and the couple was seen together earlier this week, it would be a slightly shocking breakup, mostly for the alleged claim that Rihanna is JT’s other woman. After three years of on-again, off-again for Jessica and Justin, all it took was some sightings with the feisty singer to launch a truckload of rumors. Nicole Kidman stars as a princess en route to an Indian palace in the above “mini-movie” commercial for Schweppes, which also features Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal as her love interest and Rubina Ali in a supporting role. Produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Shekhar Kapur, who directed “Elizabeth” and “Elizabeth: The Golden Age,” this extended ad is one example of a new advertising trend being used in the age of TiVo and DVR. Other companies have produced short movies with hired big-name talent and directors to promote a brand, but it’s generally a technique used to evoke a luxury lifestyle. Schweppes seems a little low-end to go this advertising route, which has been used by Prada, Dior, and Chanel. Click through for more film-like advertisements.
