Nicki Minaj’s Ideal Man Honors Her, Brings Out Her Freak

“I look for someone who is calm, someone who is strong enough to not have to win every argument, someone who allows a woman to be her crazy self and someone with a conscience not to feel like less of a man. You know, someone who is able to honor his woman but also bring out the freak in his woman.”

Nicki Minaj Welcomes Kanye West’s Fashion Advice

“He’s become my mentor, he gives me advice, he hits me, he takes random pictures off-line and says ‘Oh this is a good picture of you’. He’s really into fashion so he’s a good person to have a well-rounded conversation with.”

Nicki Minaj on her relationship with Kanye West. Come to think of it, Nicki’s look is very similar to Amber Rose’s skin-tight catsuits, with a little Kanye craziness thrown in. [Racked] Keep reading »

A Nicki Minaj Sex Tape May Be Released Soon

It’s been a little while since a new celebrity sex tape has made the rounds on the interwebs. But now one supposedly starring Nicki Minaj is on the verge of being released. The tape supposedly shows Nicki, pre-fame, topless and in some compromising positions. Allegedly, this is the second sex tape featuring Miss Minaj. MediaTakeout.com has posted a still of the video, which is grainy but possibly real. Supposedly, the tape is currently being shopped around for $100, 000 and if it’s released, I know Regis Philbin will be running to his computer to download it immediately. Gross. [PopEater]

Regis Philbin Has A Crush On Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj appeared on “Live with Regis and Kelly” on Monday, and things got kind of out of hand. First, Regis put his arm around the hip-hop star’s waist, squeezing just a little too hard. At which point, after complimenting her style and her dress, he slapped her lightly on the behind. Kelly seemed taken aback, but then proceeded to talk to Nicki about her waist size. Just what every girl wants to talk about! And then came the ultimate cringe-inducing moment. Regis asked Nicki what advice she got from Lil Wayne. “Go hard,” said Nicki. Regis’ response: “Go hard? I wish I could.” It’s pretty obvious by his reaction to the audience’s whoops that he didn’t realize what he was saying. But egads. [PopEater] Keep reading »

Nicki Minaj On The Word “Bitch”

“When I am assertive, I’m a bitch. When a man is assertive, he’s a boss. He [is] bossed up. No negative connotation behind ‘bossed up.’ But lots of negative connotation behind being a bitch. Donald Trump can say, ‘You’re fired.’ Let Martha Stewart run her company the same way and be the same way. [People will say] ‘f**king old evil bitch!’ But Donald Trump, he gets to hang out with young bitches and have 50 different wives and just be cool. ‘Oh, Donald, we love you, Donald Trump!’ … When you’re a girl, you have to be everything. You have to be dope at what you do but you have to be super sweet and you have to be sexy and you have to be this, you have to be that, and you have to be nice. It’s like, ‘I can’t be all those things at once. I’m a human being.’”

Nicki Minaj Is A Total Badass

Last Tuesday, the baddest lady rapper in the biz, Nicki Minaj, dropped her new record. And Pink Friday has three of my favorite things: pink, Fridays, and sick rhymes. But behind those fabulous rhinestone accessories beats the heart of the best thing to happen to rap since Jay-Z came out of retirement. Yeah, I said it. Last night, I was glued to the bitch-tasy that was the MTV special “My Time Now,” which was all about Nicki’s journey from her hometown in Trinidad to her hustle in the studio. If you’re cable-less or forgot to DVR the magic, you can watch the whole show here, almost commercial-free. Move over pop tarts, nobody does diva quite like a rap mogul. Heck, she’s so badass she’s even made pink gangsta. All hail the new Queen Minaj! Keep reading »

Who Would Win In A Nicki Minaj And Rainbow Brite-Style Battle?

Forget comparing Nicki Minaj to Lil’ Kim. I’d much rather ponder who would win the style battle between Nicki and Rainbow Brite. They both have blond hair and favor wearing multiple colors at once, but does one do her look better than the other? My vote is Rainbow, hands down, because at least she matches. Your thoughts? Nicki Minaj On The Ole Twig and Berries

“I have the same power as these boys. There’s nothing different between me and the boys — except they have a twig and berries. … I think girls are sexy, but I’m not gonna lie and say I date girls. Sex is the last thing on my mind right now anyway.”

Nicki Minaj released her genius album, Pink Friday, this week and explains to Rolling Stone that (a) she’s as bad-a** as any male artist and (b) she isn’t actually gay or bisexual, as she’s implied before. [NY Post]

Nicki Minaj Is Armless Barbie For “Pink Friday”

This is the cover art for Nicki Minaj‘s debut album, Pink Friday, which drops this week. It’s very pink. Nicki appears to have lost both her arms, like the Venus de Milo. Her legs have been Photoshop-stretched like Gumby. What does it all mean? It’s a little Lady Gaga, a little Paris Hilton, or maybe that’s just how Nicki likes it. [Amazon] Keep reading »

Nicki Minaj Tells Her Gay Fans To Be “Fighters”

OK, maybe Nicki Minaj is not the world’s most eloquent speaker. But you don’t have to be Barack Obama to get the point across that suicide is never the answer. At the 2010 BET Awards, Nicki spoke up about the tragic suicide of Rutgers University freshman Tyler Clementi, who jumped to his death last month after his roommate live-streamed video on the Internet of Tyler hooking up with a man. “I would encourage my gay fans to be fighters, to be brave,” Nicki said. “I could never imagine what they’re going through, but suicide is never the answer. Things always get better. I’m supporting you guys and I love you very, very much. And for the people that don’t love you … (long pause) they need help. They need help.” We hope that more celebs like Nicki, Ellen Degeneres, and columnist Dan Savage speak up and tell gay teens, it only gets better. [Colorlines] Keep reading »
