Geez, is Eminem still thinking about that time back in freaking 2001 when he “dated” Mariah Carey? Here’s the short version of the story: After this hookup heard round the world, Eminem dedicated his song “Puke” to Mariah in 2005. Nick Cannon, Mariah’s husband, wrote on his website, “I’m going to make you wish you never spoke my name and regret the ungodly things you said about my wife.” Then Mariah shot back in her video for “Obsession” in May, where a faux Eminem in a hoodie stalks her. Mariah Carey recently revealed to the U.K.‘s Mirror that she and husband Nick Cannon didn’t have sex until they were married. I’m not really surprised that Mariah didn’t give up the goods until she sealed the deal with Nick. Mariah’s always been a bit of a tease. Check out most of her music videos in which she writhes around on a bed or floor in lingerie. She knows how to work her sex appeal for professional purposes, but thankfully keeps her private life out of the street. I guess I’m being a little sexist in assuming the decision was all Mariah’s because supposedly Nick had the same beliefs. But since they only dated for two months before getting married, he didn’t have to wait that long. And we all know Nick wasn’t after Mariah’s body. Last night, I went to bed proud to be an American! But this afternoon, other issues on the ballot, like Proposition 8, made me extra blue, and not in the cool way. Sadly, some of our fellow Americans in California, Arizona, and Florida think they have the right to discriminate against homosexual love and ban an entire community from marrying. WTF?  Did you people not see how adorable the Portia and Ellen wedding pics were?! Well, looking at heterosexual divorce rates, perhaps marriage itself is the lost cause.  So, if America can’t support a partnership based on love, whose relationships should we really be concerned about? Starting tomorrow the prettiest of all the pretty boys, Zac Efron, will appear in “High School Musical 3,” the final chapter in the franchise that made him a star. So, Nick Cannon’s wedding ring. From the looks of this photo, it is large and covered in diamonds. Eek. Men shouldn’t be allowed to have gems on their wedding bands. I realize this is discrimination, but men who wear diamond rings are just trying to be Tony Soprano or P.Diddy. Like, because they’re hyper-masculine, they’re allowed to wear diamonds.
