Lace is showing up everywhere right now — dresses, tights, gloves, skirts — but I’m especially loving the way it’s being used in necklaces. The look of a dainty piece of lace skimming the collarbone is so striking and feminine. Long necklaces are a magical part of the jewelry kingdom. They’re great for layering with other necklaces, look striking on their own, and — fun fact! — the long vertical line they create can actually have a slimming effect. Add one to a little black dress, for example, and oh man will you look like a tall drink of water. We’ve rounded up a few of our favorites that measure at least 24″ long and cost less than $50. Click through to check them out, and remember, contrary to what some stores would have you believe, a necklace is not a shirt.
