Poor Nancy Kerrigan. She became fodder for made-for-TV movies back in 1994, when six weeks before the winter Olympics, the ex-husband of her figure-skating rival, Tonya Harding, clubbed her right knee with a police baton. Now, just two weeks from the 2010 Olympics, Kerrigan is back in the spotlight for another series of very unfortunate incidents. Sunday night, Nancy’s brother Mark, 45, got into a scuffle with Nancy’s father, Daniel Kerrigan, 70, over making a telephone call. The two fought, knocking pictures off the wall. At one point, Mark put his hands around Daniel’s throat, and Daniel fell to the floor. An ambulance rushed Daniel to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Mark resisted arrest and police officers had to use pepper spray to subdue him.
