Christina Hendricks Posed For Playboy In 1999

Hey, now! Playboy magazine has unearthed some “rare” photos of flame-haired, “Mad Men” star Christina Hendricks taken for the July 1999 issue. Apparently, the photo featuring the not-yet-famous actress was part of a spread on “summer shooters,” i.e., drinks. It looks like she wasn’t having a hard time getting that Jersey boy to take his medicine. Personally, we prefer the red hair to the peroxide-blond wig. Guys everywhere must be mad to see that while Hendricks may be in Playboy, naked she ain’t. [The Smoking Jacket] Keep reading »

Tom Ford Wants You Naked

“You know, most people actually look better nude. We are all one harmonious colour, with a symmetry and an innate elegance. Fat women almost always look better without the constraint and lumpy pinching of clothes, all the straps and elastic squeezing and sucking.”

– Fashion designer Tom Ford confesses he spends lots of time at home naked as a jaybird. We’re not so sure how to take his plus-sized comments. Care to parse? [Contact Music] Keep reading »

Lara Stone Suing French Playboy For Publishing Naked Photos

If you don’t know who model Lara Stone is — the just-married, gap-toothed blond has modeled for Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Versace, and pretty much every other fashion house of note on the planet at this point — you may remember her as the girl I’d go gay for. The photo that prompted me to say that, which you see here, was from a super-sexy series of photos that appeared in the French version of Playboy. Wow, I thought, how open minded of her. She walks the runway for Miu Miu and strips down for Playboy. In actuality, though, those naked photos of Stone, taken by photographer Greg Lotus, were published in Playboy France without the model’s permission, and now she’s suing. “Playboy had no right to publish these unauthorized photographs. It’s not the kind of publication I would ever choose to appear in,” Stone has since stated. “I feel I have no option but to take steps to protect my reputation.” Still, more models now than ever are posing naked. Is this idea of distinguishing between “artful nudes” and “soft-core porn,” or however you’d like to put it, really appropriate anymore? After all, Playboy France has previously featured Lily Cole, Alexandra Richards, and Lou Dillon. What do you think? [The Cut] Keep reading »
