Last night’s episode of “Mad Men” was weirdly awesome. My So-Called Love Life: Angela Chase On Sex And Dating

This week, Claire Danes turned 33! While the birthday girl is all grown up these days as the star of Homeland and wife to hot actor Hugh Dancy, we will always remember Claire as the angsty teen heroine of “My So-Called Life,” Angela Chase. As one of our favorite ’90s starlets, Claire’s portrayal of Angela gave us someone we could relate to growing up. Claire Danes Sitting Pretty In (Black And) Pink

Claire Danes was recently interviewed about her role as Angela Chase on “My So-Called Life” and told a reporter that playing the moody teenager pretty much changed her life. “It was a momentous event for me, and so I don’t feel dogged by it and I’m incredibly flattered that it continues to resonate,” she said. Here, Danes is all gussied up at the New York Women in Film and Television Muse Awards. Loving that color combo!

Angela Chase of “My So Called Life” said lots of words to live by, if you were an awkward, 15-year-old sophomore in high school in 1994. Which I was. And I was especially fond of her deep musings about love or, more specifically, her musings about Jordan Catalano. If Angela could go for Jordan Catalano, then so could I, I thought. Well not him exactly—but an alternative him. Sure, it seemed a tad unrealistic considering that no remotely hot guys went to my high school. And even if they did, they would never look twice at me, the bookish, alternative, theater girl. But still, I believed. Keep reading »

Television’s Worst Problem Children

Everyone’s buzzing about the teens on “NYC Prep” with shockingly bad attitudes. They may be complete brats, but they come from a long lineage of child douchedom that’s been keeping television going for decades. Here, a look back at their predecessors, the kids that have made their marks by being horrible. Keep reading »
