Office work is such a bore, am I right? Which is why this offer to just sit around listening to this “writer” tell “stories” and type them out sounds like a really great job opportunity. Of course, he’s not looking to pay just anyone to be his muse: you’ve got to be an attractive female and a good listener. You don’t even need to be a good speller, because he’s got someone for that. And don’t worry, the stories are “mostly really good.” I mean, he says they are, so they must be. [Craigslist]
Okay, okay, so I get it: fashion’s always on to the next. The newest, the weirdest, the most avant-garde — and apparently, the youngest. And that’s why the Fanning children, Elle and Dakota, have been on fashion’s sweet radar for the last year or so, making the rounds in magazine editorials, on blogs and in designers’ campaign videos. Dakota, the elder Fanning, is the ripe old age of 17, and so we’re somewhat less troubled by her meteoric rise into the sweet embrace of fashion’s bosom. But younger sister Elle Fanning is only 13 years old. And she looks it!

Rock band Muse is aiming to be the first band to perform a live gig in space. Frontman Matt Bellamy (boyfriend of Kate Hudson) is hard at work plotting the band’s liftoff on Richard Branson’s soon-to-launch Virgin Galactic. “Maybe I’ve seen The Jetsons too many times … [but] I’m thinking of approaching Richard Branson to see if we could do it on his spacecraft … I do think it will be possible in the future and I’m sure it will happen in my lifetime. We’d love to be part of that,” he told The Sun. The last thing to figure out? How to keep amps from knocking out crowd-surfing fans in zero-gravity conditions. “We do have a lot of equipment, so I guess we’d have to use pods to carry our stuff and we’d scale back the shows a lot,” he said. That’s would be some in-flight entertainment. I wonder if I can get a free ticket if I volunteer to be a roadie? I could carry the equipment no problem if it weighs nothing. Kate Hudson seems to have found herself a new fling after things fizzled out with A-Rod in December. To some, musician Matthew Bellamy may look familiar; the 32-year-old is the frontman for the band Muse. The new couple was captured strolling around Paris, after Hudson apparently flew into France to catch Muse’s show. The two don’t seem to be immune to Paris’ romantic allure, having several cozy dinners—one of which turned into a double date when they ran into Bradley Cooper and Renee Zellweger at the same restaurant. Summer love happens fast, as the wise words of “Grease” go, so it’s time to study up on Bellamy before this relationship breaks down or takes off. Keep reading »
Oh Lindsay. You used to be such a good example for all the kids. Now look at you. This “artistic” fashion video you did for that Muse magazine shoot (watch the semi-NSFW vid, after the jump) isn’t making things any better when you’re rolling around half-naked, smoking like a chimney, and looking like you spent the past night in a coke den.
We’re not sure what the “point” of this short is. If anything, the borderline pornographic video is more a commercial for smoking and a promotion of living a vacant, drugged-out lifestyle. [YouTube] Keep reading »
“I have a problem with muse-ship. I feel like throughout history, it’s been men vampiring on women’s specialness. And why do that for someone? Maybe it’s a fear of intimacy!”
