The MTV Movie Awards are coming up this Sunday and the network is busy promoting the Jason Sudeikis-hosted affair. One of the tidbits MTV is touting in hopes of pulling in viewers? The fact that during the show, they will premiere a teaser trailer for “Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1” which will bring us inside Bella and Edward‘s wedding. And so they created this teaser trailer to promote that teaser trailer. Consider it a sneak peek of the sneak peak. [EW] Keep reading »
Jason Sudeikis—aka the “Saturday Night Live” star and maybe father of January Jones’ unborn baby—is hosting the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. To build some hype for the show, he’s done a series of videos where he awkwardly introduces himself to the nominees. In this video, he stands in for Kristen Stewart‘s hair stylist, threatening to give her a bowl cut.
After the jump, see him pop up as Leighton Meester’s dentist. Happy gas abounds. Keep reading »
At an after-party for the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, Lindsay Lohan‘s SCRAM anklet went off. The thing is supposed to monitor whether the person wearing it has any alcohol in their system, which leads us — and the judge who immediately issued a warrant for her arrest — to believe that LiLo was drinking. But the scandalicious actress swears it isn’t so. “These accusations are completely false,” she said. Lohan has a probation violation hearing set for July 6 and she has already posted 10 percent of her $200,000 bail in order to stay out of the slammer. [Radar Online]
Lindsay is so sure she didn’t have any alcohol in her system when her SCRAM went off that she has vowed to get proof before her court appearance. Of course, we’d like to help her in any way we can, so, after the jump, we have some
excuses possible reasons for the SCRAM’s “mistake.” Keep reading »
In the grand scheme of award shows, I genuinely enjoy the MTV Movie Awards. Last night, I giggled at Aziz Ansari and Zack Galifianakis’ hilarious “Swagga Coach” sketch. I was way amused by Tom Cruise’s heroic turn as Les Grossman. I loved the tribute to Sandra Bullock, well, until the lame fake-lesbian kiss with Scarlett Johansson. (I mean, that was old by the time Madonna, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera did it in 2003.) But one thing totally drove me crazy about the show—could they stop trying to sell me stuff for one second? Keep reading »
Really, what was up with that Scarlett Johansson
and Sandra Bullock
Sandra Bullock, you were such a class act until this moment. You showed up at the Razzie’s to accept your “Worst Actress” awards. You took the high road when ex Jesse James cheated on your with Miss Nazi Face Tattoos. You even adopted a friggin’ baby and hid him from the paparazzi for months! Then you won career-long accolades at the MTV Movie Awards with effusive praise from Bradley Cooper and Betty White and even a movie montage. I actually had tears in my eyes!
Then you and Scarlett locked lips. Was that really necessary? Girl-on-girl kisses are so cliché. Let’s leave the publicity stunt faux lesbianism to people who need a career boost — not people who already have an incredible career. Keep reading »
If I weren’t such an unmotivated lazy, I would be full-on stalking Aziz Ansari. He’s one of the funniest men in comedy right now and basically everything he does makes me do this really unflattering snorting thing. So, thank goodness he’s maybe going to host the 2010 MTV Movie Awards! I have mixed feelings about the MTV Movie Awards in general, but with Aziz Ansari taking over, they’re guaranteed to be awesome and we’ve come up with 10 reasons why! Keep reading »
Last night’s MTV Movie Awards were pretty good — host Andy Samberg was delightfully random, “Twilight”‘s Kristen Stewart dropped her award and looked vaguely like she was on something, and Robert Pattinson was predictably hot. But by far the best moment was when Bruno (aka Sasha Baron Cohen) flew over the stage to present an award, ass exposed, and landed crotch first in Eminem’s face, in the “69″ position. Though this was likely staged, Em’s reaction was priceless. Keep reading »
In case you aren’t an MTV watcher and haven’t already been subjected to 90 millions promos for it, the MTV Movie Awards are coming at you tonight at 9pm EST.
