Movie Posters For “The Artist”‘s Jean DuJardin’s New Infidelity Film Cause Ruckus In France

It is difficult to imagine the French getting worked up about movie posters, seeing as their Weight Watchers commercials are soft core porn. But new posters for “Les Infideles,” a film coming out later this month starring Jean DuJardin, the Golden Globe-winning star of “The Artist,” are causing un grand ruckus. “Les Infideles” will be a series of vignettes about male infidelity and ad campaign is pretty sexy. In one poster, Jean DuJardin holds a woman’s legs up in the air; in another, his costar apepars to be getting a BJ from a lady attending to his crotch. Pretty tame stuff, if you ask me, but at least one French magazine has pulled the ads and a French ad regulation agency advised they be taken down. Everybody calm down, at least there weren’t any words spelled out in semen. [Huffington Post]

7 Movie Posters That Were Banned For Being Too Sexy

Watch the trailer for Michael Fassbender's new movie, "Shame." Watch »

Fox Searchlight knows what they can get away with in the U.S. — not much — but when it comes to marketing their movie “Shame” abroad, they wanted to push the envelope. Now, they didn’t dare put Michael Fassbender’s exposed cock on the Hungarian promotional poster, but they sure as s**t tried to get away with using his semen. What a cool, edgy font. I wonder if I can download it somewhere? Anyway, sadly, the Hungarians were not too fond of the poster and it was banned — but not before being uploaded to the internet and convincing me I need to see the film ASAP. Nice work, Fox Searchlight! [Anomalous Material]

Let’s take a look at some other movie posters that were banned for being too sexy and provocative.

“Breaking Dawn” Breaks Out Its Official Poster

What, you haven’t already gotten your tickets for the opening night of “Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1?” There’s only two months and a week left, people. Get on it! But seriously, the just-released poster for the flick does look pretty enticing. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have really mastered the art of showing passion and affection at the same time. Here, it simultaneously looks like they are sweetly caressing and about to pounce on each other. [EW] Keep reading »

Beware “The Ides Of March”? No Way. It’s My New Favorite Day.

Umm, hello. We are far too obsessed with the official poster for “The Ides of March,” the upcoming flick that stars George Clooney as a a presidential candidate whose campaign is derailed when one of his aides, Ryan Gosling, becomes caught up in a nasty scandal. Clooney apparently wrote the movie years ago, but shelved it throughout Barack Obama‘s campaign because he felt the country was too hopeful “for a cynical political movie.” But now he feels the timing is just right. “Republicans hate the beginning of the movie, Democrats hate the end,” he said. And thanks to the flicks’ two lead men, straight women love it all the way through just because of the eye candy. Check out the trailer, after the jump! [NY Daily News] Keep reading »

Apocalypse, Harry Potter

Behold, the official poster for “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,” featuring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint standing dazed and bloodied among a pile of rubble. I’m thinking this might be a sign that things don’t end simply happily ever after. [EW] Keep reading »

First Look: The Poster For Mel Gibson’s “The Beaver,” Which Will Probably Never Hit The Big Screen

One of the victims of Mel Gibson’s fall from grace after being caught on tape threatening ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva? The Jodie Foster-directed “The Beaver,” which stars the racial slur-shouting actor. The film’s release has been put on indefinite hiatus as a result, but a poster for the film has made it onto the internet. The words written on the index card in Mel’s hand indicate his character is just as looney as he is. [ONTD] Keep reading »

Carrie Bradshaw Wears Stilettos In The Sand

Check out the poster for “Sex and the City 2,” which hits theaters May 27. Carrie Bradshaw is truly a marvel. Not only is she able to walk across sand in heels without sinking (or rolling an ankle), but she doesn’t seem to sweat in the Abu Dhabi heat either! Keep reading »

New Poster & Action-Packed Trailer For “The A-Team”

If there ever were a moment to speed up time, now would be it. I need June 11 to get here stat because that’s the day “The A-Team” movie premieres. I rolled my eyes when I heard a 2010 version of the hit show was in the works. But when I saw the cast — Liam Neeson as Col. John “Hannibal” Smith, Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as Sgt. Bosco “B.A.” Baracus, and Sharlto Copley as Capt. “Howling Mad” Murdock — I thought this could be good. Now that I’ve seen the trailer, I know it’s going to be great. It has everything a girl could want in an action flick: rebellion against the military, creative prison breaks, and things that go boom. And looking at “The A-Team” poster above, I really think the actors capture the original characters rather well. Check out the trailer after the jump and tell me what you think. Keep reading »
